4.0 out of 5 stars no regrets in choosing this phone
there aren't that many free phones being offered by t-mobile at the present time, and at first i wasn't sure of this phone, but it was one of the cheaper ones. so far i've had it for a month and it's great.

but...some issues i have with it:

I like this phone. Because it's different. It is a breath of fresh air from all the single-slab smartphones on the market. Easy to use, a snap to set up, and the screen is very good. Battery life is excellent (I have gone three days so far without charging) Try doing that with an iPhone!!! I got this phone in blue, and I could care less that some would see this as a girly...

4.0 out of 5 stars no regrets in choosing this phone, November 12, 2010
This review is from: LG dLite GD570 Phone, Bubble Gum (T-Mobile) (Wireless Phone)
there aren't that many free phones being offered by t-mobile at the present time, and at first i wasn't sure of this phone, but it was one of the cheaper ones. so far i've had it for a month and it's great.

but...some issues i have with it:

-i can't access my email (go ahead and call me cheap, but i didn't purchase a data plan. this knocks out a few of the other functions on the phone like gps, youtube, internet, etc., which, if you have a data plan, i'm sure would be wonderful).

-it took awhile to get used to the size of the phone (especially since my previous phone was a bar phone smaller than this phone when it's closed)

-if you're using the music player, pressing the end call button closes the player as well (you'll have to use the multitask button which is right above it, to access the main screen).

-you can't use regular earbuds/headphones because the only connection is a mini-usb (used for charging as well).

-the back cover is a little hard to take off.

-the phone is relatively light and slim so it could fit in your back pocket or a clutch, but that also makes it prone to falling easily if you're not careful T_T

-the frames that come with the camera function are kinda tacky. i have no idea how to delete them.

-i still haven't figured out if you can customize the arrow keys to access different things (e.g. up for the camera, left for composing a new text, right for calendar, down for contacts)

some things that i really like about it:

-as the other review says, the battery life is pretty good, given that you're not using it to listen to music and take pictures all day.

-customizable external lighting.

-the alarm clock can only be turned off by opening the phone and pressing the ok button while the alarm is going. (particularly handy if you're like me and prone to hitting the snooze over and over. you could go through the menu>organizer>alarm clock and turn it off there but by then you'll probably be plenty awake.)

-it comes with a usb cable that's detachable from the wall plug, so you could use your computer to charge it or if you have a car charger that you can plug a usb cable into.

-you can view texts in conversation or standard mode.

-visual voicemail (you'll probably need to go to a t-mobile associate to activate it though).

-it's pink. (well, mine is anyway. there's a blue one too.)

although i have my ups and downs with this phone, i definitely don't regret getting it.

Battery life is excellent (I have gone three days so far without charging) Try doing that with an iPhone!!! I got this phone in blue, and I could care less that some would see this as a girly phone. My only complaint is that you can't get enough support from LG's website. Also if you own a Mac, good luck trying to download the phone tools software (it's PC only) In fact, I had to go to LG's asian site to find ANYTHING about this phone, and you can't register this phone ( unless you live in Singapore!!!!) Otherwise, I get a lot of head-turning looks when I use this phone in public.
