The Freedom spray mop works well for me, but I must caution buyers: be careful when you fill up the bottle. Be sure you hold it straight up. I made the mistake of holding it at a slant while I poured in some cleaning product before adding water to dilute. I watched in horror as the cleaning product passed right through to the bottom and on out the narrow end into the sink! I tried again, with water only, and this time I held the bottle straight upright under the water faucet. No problem.

This is a great mop! What a way to clean fast & easily, and be cost effective! I just bought this mop at Target. I also bought some Mr Clean Meadow & Rain All purpose cleaner to use with the mop. It is easy to fill, I didn't even have to remove the bottle from the mop. Just put in a little cleaner, dilute with water, and its ready to go. It's very simple to use, you squeeze the handle just like a spray bottle and mop away. The pads did a good job at spreading the solution and sucking up the mess. This is something I think I'll probably use every day, with 2 German Shepherds in and out of the house all day, my floor gets disgusting! This is going to save a lot of time and a lot of money. Very happy with my purchase. Thanks Libman!

I LOVE this mop. I loved the idea of using my own cleaning products and having rewashable refill pads. It was great the first time I used it. I got it out today to mop my kitchen for it's second time use and the sprayer trigger broke off on one side. If you have one of these, be VERY careful with the trigger!! I miss when things were made of quality parts. Sigh.

I generally ignore most cleaning products that show up in magazines, on tv, and on billboards. But this one caught my eye, particularly because of the washable pads and the ability to attach the cleaning fluid to the actual mop...no need for a bucket. I did a lot of research first reading reviews, and then finally decided to go ahead and buy it.

I've used this product twice so far. I had no problems with any liquid leaking from the bottle, Nor did I have any problems filling the bottle (upright or not). Everything stayed in the bottle as it should. The bottle attaches and detaches smoothly. The mop pad does a nice job picking up dirt/hair off of a smooth linoleum floor. I don't have any floors with grooves or grout, so I can't comment on that. I also didn't need to spritz all that often to get the cleaning done.

I think the cleaning process takes less water than a typical mop/bucket set up as well...which is nice. There's a $5 rebate available on libman's website too.

Again, not a big fan of overly marketed products, but this one lives up to the claims.

I had written a poor review about this product. I have decided to edited because of the following reasons: When I received this mop through the mail, it appeared to have been damaged during the shipping process. Therefore, when I tried it I couldn't have the advantage of having the cleaner bottle that it's attached to the mop work. It was leaking so heavily that it wouldn't hold the cleaning solution. I was upset and I just storage the mop in a closet and never used until today. While I couldn't spray directly from the mop dispenser, the mop works really fine. I still had to spray the floor prior to mopping, but I could really appreciate the efficiency of the small pad which scrubbed the kitchen floor. Instead of the one star I gave to this product before, I am changing it to four stars. I didn't give it five stars because of the damage the mop suffered during shipping. If I were to buy this item, I would prefer to go buy it at the store. Chances are that it will be damage during shipping. Would I buy this product again? Yes I would. It cleans really good. I recommend it to others.

Thought it was a good idea at the time, sure to save money from not buying those swiffer pads. But after six to eight months the device would no longer squirt the cleaning mix.

I took the basic pieces apart to see if there was a clog somewhere but no obstruction was evident. Made sure the container with the cleaning mix was firmly seated. Made sure the container had enough mix so it wasn't a lack of minimum fluid. The handle would squeeze as it should. But it simply stopped being able to squirt. As a tide-me-over I got some swiffer pads for the old swiffer mop at the back of the cleaning cabinet but when I get some time I'll be shopping for some other mop.

If you do opt for one of these, get replacement pads right up front. It's handy that these pads can go in the wash but you'll want another one available while you're doing the wash.

Update: I just spoke with Sarah from Libman and a replacement mop is on its way. This is the kind of quality customer service you don't see much of these days. Am adjusting the rating to reflect this.

Up-Update: The replacement mop has arrived! I feel silly getting excited about a mop but my wife just swept and I'm about to follow up with the mop and this is better than using those flimsy sponge mops. Am ordering a couple Libman Freedom Spray Mop Refill pads in addition to the one it came with. We put the pads right in the laundry so having extra is a good idea for mopping while one is in the wash.

So how did you come across this product?

Well I was tired of getting a bucket and over filling with water and chemicals and having to carry said bucket upstairs to mop my little bathing room.

Does it work?

Hell Yeah!

What do you like about it?

Everything!! I know thats cliche but seriously! I like that I don't need that damn Swifter and its batteries, pads, and refills. I personally like Libman products throughout my house. I own Libman brooms, mop, toilet bowl cleaner. Most importantly it saves me TIME!

What took you so long to get it?

My procrastination

Would you recommend this product?

Absolutely

From 4 stars to 2. Scroll to the bottom to read why.

I've had this mop for at least six months now, if not longer, and it seems to still be working fine (no leaking). I usually fill my container with solution and leave it in there when I'm done.

I like it how you can use whatever solution you want. The wet jet was so wasteful and it always left a nasty film on my wood laminate flooring.

My biggest issue with it is that it doesn't clean close to the edge. There is no way to put pressure around the outside of the mop head so you can't really scrub the edges of your room. I should probably do that by hand, but I've done before when I first moved into this place and the dirt line around the room wouldn't vanish with scrubbing by hand either so I don't even know if I'll bother. The point is, it doesn't clean edges because there's no way to scrub them with this mop.

I have three of the pads that I use so that I always have at least one clean one on hand. I wash them in the washer and the dryer--I didn't know until reading these reviews that you're not supposed to put them into the dryer? Oh well, they aren't any worse for the wear that I can see.

The first time I used it the mop pad got super filthy (really tells how well my previous mop did and my sweeping job before I got a vacuum!), and after washing it, it didn't really come out well. The fibers are hard and scratchy instead of soft and absorbent, and stained worse than the others. I need a new one--it's usually my last resort pad. So if your floor is super dirty it might ruin the pad for you. After that first occasion though I haven't had any problems since I vacuum so often.

I don't know why someone was trying to pick up tons of dirt and dog hair with this mop. No mop will pick up dog hair--I thought that was just common sense. I don't have a problem with this mop leaving a "line of dirt" everywhere I mop, but maybe my floors aren't as dirt-laden as that person's floor.

It's so much better than a mop & bucket. Apparently you're not supposed to put too much water on wood laminate flooring (apparently the previous tenants didn't know this) or else it'll warp the floor. This mop is good for my floors since it doesn't put too much water onto the floor.

Update: About a year after buying this mop, it died. A seal or something broke and it sprays little squirts if I'm lucky (after lots of pumping) and it leaks on every pass I take. Have to shop for a new mop now and it'd be nice to get one that lasts longer than a year. I'd give it 2 1/2 stars if I could.

We love this mop!! It is a money saver because we use vinegar and water in it and it works so well on all of our floors. My husband leaned it up against the the wall and it fell and the head broke off..we contacted libman and they sent us a brand new mop! Amazing customer service!!
