I tried using the goggles that came with my acetylene welding equipment but they interfered with my prescription glasses. I have a good set of prescription safety glasses with side shields and these lenses clip on perfectly. I've used these twice now and I love them. I like it that I can just flip them up to see without the darkening shade. I strongly recommend AGAINST using these on glasses that do not have side shields. The are a lot of pops and splatters that welding goggles protect against and without side shields, those pops and splatters could mean eye injuries. If you have safety glasses with side shields, these are great. Please note - these are NOT for arc welding - only for acetylene and brazing. You will want at least shade #5.

These flip up welders glasses are perfect for small welding jobs, like I do. They clip onto my own glasses and are the correct darkness to protect my eyes. No more awkward goggles!
