She has been in the computer industry since 1992 with experience working with various companies including IBM, Northern Telecom (Nortel), and Hewlett-Packard. Anne has been working on UNIX and Internet-related projects since 1994, including teaching and developing courses.

I found this book to be very practical. It does not cover every single topic in detail so if you are looking for a detailed reference check the man pages. But if you have not had a lot of experience administrating Linux or a network this book is great. By the time you are finished you will have a secure Linux box with a minimum of hassle. I love the book.
