Being a contact lens wearer, I've been using Lip Ink about 15 years and couldn't live without it. I use my eye moisturizer at night so there's no oil on the lids in the morning. Lip Ink has to be applied over completely clean, dry eyes. No oil.

The only problem I've had with the product is it does tend to dry out easily if the cap isn't on tight. This makes it hard to get a smooth, clean line on the lid. Even with careful use, the consistency thickens as it's exposed to air daily. I use one vial 4-6 weeks before it goes into my purse as an emergency office backup. It's still usable but it doesn't look as good.

Recently, Lip Ink had to publish the ingredients in their liner. I wasn't surprised to see Sd alcohol 38-B, or denatured alcohol. This is the reason you have to let the wand "breathe" before applying, or the fumes sting your eyes. It's also the reason it sets up like dried paint on your eyelids. Secretly, I've been known to touch the corners up the next day if I don't remove it at night. Once on, it stays until it flakes off in a few days. I also find that plain soap and water remove it nicely, as does makeup remover pads or facial cleaning clothes.

This product isn't for everyone but I absolutely love it. The only reason I rate it 4 stars is because they should include a small vial of Sd alcohol 38-B to thin it when it thickens. I always feel like I throw a lot of product away but again, I do get a lot of applications for my money.

I actually found this line at our State Fair, so I was definately skeptical about State Fair makeup. I ended up trying some samples on my hand, and was impressed with the staying power, so I ended up buying the eyeliner and lipstick. I ended up not using the lipstick much because I don't wear lipcolor much, but the eyeliner has been amazing.

I am very oily, so any pencil/creme based eyeliner just smudged off or wore off very quickly. This product stays in place for hours. I admit, by bedtime, if I haven't washed it off, it smudges off a bit in the inner corner, and I'm able to just rub it off with my hand at this point, but this is 15-16 hours after putting it on. During the day, this stuff very rarely budges.

It creates a very intense black, and I found that sometimes wearing it day after day without using a eye makeup remover will leave a black-blue tint where the product was, but it's easily wiped away.

The alcohol they use for a preservative can really cause a sting if you don't let it dry out for a few seconds before applying, so it's not a on-the-run liner, but I've grown accustom to letting it dry.

Besides the price and availability, (I haven't found a local place to buy it since I saw it at the fair), I love this eyeliner and it's a must have for "oily eyelids"!

Having used LipInk lip color for a couple of weeks, I decided to take a chance on the eyeliner. My lip color definately has the staying power I had hoped for and believed that the eyeliner would have the same. Unfortunately, I have been disappointed so far. The first time I applied it, I was a little troubled by how difficult it seemed to be to put on. I followed the directions - clean face, I used LipInk Off to make sure my eyes were pristine, I shook the tube till the ball inside moved freely, I withdrew the wand and waited 10 seconds as instructed, and then applied in one direction. I assumed that since it had been sometime since I had used a liquid liner I would have difficulty getting the line right, but that was not the problem. I had to re-dip the applicator several times to get enough liner to do one eye. Maybe it was because the applicator was new, but it seemed a little strange that it seemed to have trouble holding enough product to line one lid. Within just a couple of hours, it had started to disappear. I chalked this up to my lack of familiarity with the product.

I have now used the product everyday for six days and the staying power has only slightly improved and the application issue has not improved at all. I had hoped to be able to put a small line right at the base of my upper lashes to provide a little volume, but to get it to last for more than a couple of hours, I have to put on more than I would like. Keep in mind, I work in an indoor, corporate environment and I keep my home cool so sweating is not really an issue. The only time I really get in any heat is walking from my car to the office (my garage is attached). I did sweat one time with it on when I was outside for about 15 minutes (in South Texas in August that is an eternity) and it did not run or leave me with black circles. It seems mostly to flake a little at a time until it flakes away. With my very fair skin, these flakes are unsightly and troublesome.

Just to be certain it was the eyeliner, I tried a day without mascara. The flaking continued so I am now sure it is the eyeliner. Today I tried putting a little liquid sealer over top that is supposed to preserve makeup and so far so good. It is unfortunate that I paid so much for a product that requires a second expensive product to do the job it should be able to do alone.

All-in-all, it performs as well as any liquid I have ever used. But there was a reason I really did not use liquid very much and have mostly stuck with shadow-liner. It did not live up to my hopes and does not perform as well as the lip color in this line.

I have used this product for several years and have been very satisfied with it. It is very easy to apply compared to other liquid eye liners.

I love this product. It stays on all day, doesn't smudge or wipe off. It's easy to remove with the Lip Ink remover.

I have used the lip ink lipsticks for many years and absolutely love them. This is the first time I tried the eyeliner. I purchased the black color and was not satisfied. It cakes up and peels right off. On my left eye it turns blue and my right eye it stays black. I guess there must be some difference in the pH on the left eye. Anyway, I really need a long staying eye line and was very hopeful this would be it. But it did not stand up to my expectations at all.

Although it's eyeliner I use it to fill in my brows, as they are rather dark like Penelope Cruz's. It stays on all day unless I really rub my brows. When applying it I keep a qtip handy to erase any mistakes. The product arrived in a timely manner in perfect condition. Actually, I used to buy it directly from lip-ink but quit because their sales team would call me when there way no reason for them to call me. So I asked them to please remove me from their call list, but guess what, they STILL called me. Hopefully because I order from Amazon they will not call me. Anyway, I've been using this product for years and have not found a better substitute.

This is a great liquid liner! I normally use a pencil, because I have a shaky hand. This has such a thin line brush I can make a fine line. It is true that one needs to let it air for 10 seconds, or you will tear from the alcohol. Great buy! And the company people are very helpful and curtious. Kudos to them! Thank you!
