4.0 out of 5 stars Listen up - Please do
We buy this product for my special needs who is deaf. It's very loud and holds up pretty well considering he is very rough with it. This item has
always arrived on time with both amplifier and head phones in working order. So listen up and hear well.

3.0 out of 5 stars hard to lose hearing aid
My wife has dementia and has lost 2 hearing aids. OUCH!! She is
now outfitted with a Listen Up amplifier and Sony WO8L earbuds with

the product I received did not work - there was a hum & it did not amplify the tv as advertised - it may have been a defective device, but it did not work as advertised - the company stood behind their product & refunded all my money, which was extremely nice of them & offered a replacement - I choose not to try again with this device

3.0 out of 5 stars hard to lose hearing aid, December 4, 2011

My wife has dementia and has lost 2 hearing aids. OUCH!! She is
now outfitted with a Listen Up amplifier and Sony WO8L earbuds with
headband. The aaa battery used is a rechargeable. The combo works well
enough; of course a hearing aid is somewhat better, but 50 times more
expensive. A new Listen Up is a high gain low noise amplifier with no
limiting and no automatic gain control. Two that I bought broke down and suffered from self oscillation after s few months of use. I've not
seen a competing device, and the units are cheap enough to be dispensable.
Unfortunately you can't buy them in quantity and get a cheaper shipping
price. The box that one unit is shipped in could hold many units.

1.0 out of 5 stars Please save your money!!!!! This is a waste of it!!!!, August 4, 2011
This review is from: LISTEN UP AMPLIFIER
This is by far the worst product I ever purchased on a TV pitch. It does not work without holding it up (tiring) and even set at full blast, it was still not enough to turn down the TV sound enough to not bother anyone else in the room. Save your money - buy something better.

3.0 out of 5 stars As good as an inexpensive audio amplifier can be, July 27, 2011

This product was not a substitute for a hearing aid nor did the makers claim that it was. If you are looking for a hearing aid, this ain't it. But i will amplify sound.

It does amplify sound, but is very touchy. It is like a stethoscope. It is good for laying beside you when you are sitting watching tv or in a small group conversation.

4.0 out of 5 stars listen up is a helpful aid, October 19, 2010
This review is from: LISTEN UP AMPLIFIER
Listen up does what's promised and is helpful for minor hearing loss. Some programs are telecast at lower volume and using this device amplifies sound.
Would not recommend use in public, although it could pass for small radio, etc.

1.0 out of 5 stars Nowhere near being useful, November 15, 2010
This review is from: LISTEN UP AMPLIFIER
I bought this amplifier out of curiosity and tested it in different places (home, work and street). In all cases, It made things worse, as I could hear much better without it. The cause: ambient noise is made much louder, instead of being filtered out. Voices are all of sudden harder to listen to and understand.

The only slightly useful stuff is a AAA battery and a headset I can reuse somewhere else.
