5.0 out of 5 stars great git for kids
My daughter got this for her birthday and she loves it. It is very easy for her to play with. I love that it turns itself off after three minutes.

2.0 out of 5 stars A little disappointed
I had one of these when I was little and loved it so we bought one for my daughter for Christmas. I like that the light shuts off on it's own but three minutes is really way too short. She is only 4 so it takes a while for her to figure it out and by the time she gets a couple in, it is shutting off. I also feel like it is a little flimsy. I would purchase the cube if...

4.0 out of 5 stars Lite Brite at Nite, September 11, 2004

My daughter also received the battery operated Lite Brite for her third birthday. The comparment that stores the colored pegs is a little flimsy, but it gets the job done. It is the one activity that really works at winding her down at night (before reading books) and she loves to turn off her bedroom light see the design. My only problem now is that I can't find any of the refill sheets for this model. Does anyone know where to get them or order them from?

I bought this for my 4-year-old twins and it's provided hours of fun--without any assistance from me. I'd recommend it especially for people looking for toys that will help kids to improve fine motor skills. My daughter won't do a lot that requires fine motor skills, but she loves lite brite!

This set was very hard to balance and put the pegs in place. Also, there were just two extra pegs per color - that does not leave any to be "lost". Furthermore, I am still looking for replacement sheets.

When I was younger my parents bought me a light bright, I had blast with it. So I just bought this for my little sister who is 4 so i hope she liked it as much as I did. I also bought her the pony refill set its inexpensive and it also comes with extra pegs which is great... Hope this helps everyone...

1.0 out of 5 stars Not like the lite-brite I remember, April 15, 2009
= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars

I bought this for my god-daughter when her mom and I discussed how much fun we had with ours as kids. As much as I thought it was a nuisance as a kid to take the outer screen off to put the page under it...now I see the benefit. On the flat-screen lite-brite you just lay the paper over the lighted holes and use pegs to hold it down. The pegs popped out very easily when the child's fingers accidentally pushed on the paper as she was putting pegs in. Also, it was nearly impossible to tell the difference between the green pegs and the yellow. I was very disappointed.

My son received this Lite Brite for Christmas and it is a really kool thing, the only thing wrong is the holder for the pegs is alittle to small. overall the best Lite Brite available now. Also now they do sell refills that fit all 3 size screens.

My 5 year old LOVES this and has gone through all of the pictures. I, too, had a problem finding a place that sells the refills. [...] They have a variety to choose from.

Well it's about time they finally improved this toy.

It is pretty good for occupying the kids for a little while.
