This review is from: LIVING IN THE TIMES OF THE SIGNS (Paperback)
This is the most informative and truthful book I've ever read. This author really did his homework when writing this book. If you want to know the truth of what's going on in these times and how prophecy is being played out in the here and now this is a must read. Everyone who I've given it to read has had the same comment........."This is the best book I've read on the subject".

Outstanding Explanation of End-Time Signs,

This review is from: LIVING IN THE TIMES OF THE SIGNS (Paperback)
Some scoff about the soon return of Jesus Christ. This book provides evidence for both the novice and the more advanced student of bible prophecy.
The first half of the book is a review of the many signs in today's world that the Lord Himself gave on the Mount of Olives (Matthew 24 and Luke 21). The material is very good and presented at an understandable level for a person intrigued but not knowledgable about the topic. For family and friends, it is highly recommended. The second half of the book is more advanced as Barnhart provides types and patterns from scripture that also point to the conclusion that time is short. He shows how the customs and practices of the Jewish marriage ceremony map perfectly in the timeline and sequencing of events of Christ's return and marriage to His bride (the Church). It is very exciting to know we will soon be in His care and love forever. Many pages are spent on the seven churches from Revelation Chapters 2 and 3. Jesus Christ Himself spoke the words about these churches - a fact many don't know or overlook. These churches were actual churches with real pluses and minuses. But they are also predictive of church characteristics that would exist between Christ's ascension and his return. When one studies the final church (Laodicea), it fits perfectly with most of popular Christianity today- you know, the kind that uses just enough scripture to sound Christian but ignores all the difficult and politically incorrect teachings. (See Rick Warren, Joel Osteen, Robert Schuller for examples.) The average person might feel overwhelmed by some of the "meat" of the second half of the book. But that does not downplay the excellent job done on the "basics" in the first half of the book.

This is a book with some meat to it but the average non-believer would not only understand it but have their appetite for truth whetted! I bought two, need three more.
