Who would have known that the then (in 1995)first lady Hillary Clinton would go on to be Senator of New York, and possibly even the first women president of the United States? Midway put her and Bill in the digitized game as a joke and it's the best reason to own this game. here are the codes for secret characters.

WOW! I remember playing this on SNES as a kid, but had no idea this was in print for the PSX. This version is the closet version you are going to get graphics wise from the arcade version. Updated rosters( for that time) is a plus. A bigger bonus, this game can be played on your PS3 ( its true, me and my roommate play it to the death) and with an adjustment to the PS3, it looks perfect! so if you see it buy it and load it in your PS3! Enjoy

Definitely a fun game. I play it with my 9 year old son who has never played this game before. Now he wakes up in the morning and plays it instead of his Wii and X-Box. The only thing I remember not liking when I had this game in the past was that Jordan, Magic and Bird were not on it. I think you can unlock them if you beat the entire game. We'll see. Love the game though. Another way to have fun and spend time with my son.

I just recently found this game while digging around in my attic. As I recall it was quite good. So, I dust off and hook up my Super NES, and pop the game in. Wow! This simulation of basketball stands up well even today. It's realistic too - a bunch of different things can happen, depending on your player's stats. It's extremely thrilling to lob the ball "from the outside" before the buzzer, and actually score 3 points! However this is one tough mutha' of a game. It seems as though the other team is always smarter than the computer AI your paired with, and catching up with some players is near impossible. But the Head-to-Head mode is fantastically flawless, as you can show your friend who is king of the ring. All in all, a stone cold sports classic. Wait.... I'm saying this and I don't even like sports games.... (sigh) oh well.

I have been firing up the Saturn every night for a month or so now challenging the old 27 teams of yore, including Bullets and Sonics teams that I miss. The combination of the SATURN controller or Virtua Stick coupled with the near arcade perfection of this console version is still unchallenged. The graphics are above average even now, and the game offers options that are vital to my enjoyment of 2 on 2 arcade hoops. First turn CPU assistance off, when someone gets a lead it shouldn't be "stolen" by the AI to keep the game tight. Second, Tag mode allowing you to control both players this is vital as I can only play this game on its harder settings this way. Third, remapping option for the controls- I MUST have Turbo on my R trigger. The new Wii version sparkles in many facets but none of the options I listed above are present, therefore this old school classic is still wearing the champions ring.

Excellent game well worth any price...
one of the best basketball franchises along with NBA Live...

I have a great time playing this game and remembering my child hood playing against brother and cousin. This game is a classic.

My husband loves this game so I got it for him for xmas. We luckily still have a Super Nintendo and he plays it all the time! Thank you!

I have a friend who won't play a sports game, but loves this game. Really this game is huge upgrade to the original NBA Jam and if you own an SNES do yourself a favor and pick this game up also tons of unlockable characters!
