The software provided with this item does not function properly under the Windows 7 Operating System. In addition, the item took forever to arrive and containd NO written documentation. You must load the CD and know enough to identify the correct files on the CD in order to even begin to try to install it. Since I have computer experience, I was able to do this, but others may not. Once I correctly installed the software on my hard drive, once I tried to run the executable program, a brief error message was displaed and then the User Interface (UI) went away. The program is executing the in background but you cannot get to the UI. I even tried to run the program in Windows compatibility mode, and that would not work either. Support is almost non-existent and English is not their forte. NOTE: Eventually I was able to get this software to work but I had to edit a configuration file to get the UI in English instead of Chinese. It does work, but you need to have good deductive computer skills to get it working. If I were to rate it again, I would probably up my rating to a two.

I purchased this VOIP telephone recorder after reviewing several similar products. This was one of the few products which would work connected directly to the phone line rather than hooking up between the handset and phone. I have Vonage as was a bit worried whether it would work or not.
Well, after a few days of testing I can say that it works as described. I easily connected it between my Vonage box and phone using the supplied cables, and plugged it into the computer's USB port. Windows recognized the device and automatically installed a driver. I have seen another review saying that the supplied software doesn't work. I have Windows 8.1 and it is working perfectly for me. The trick is to copy all of the files on the CD to a folder on your computer, and run the app from there. The software doesn't include an installer, but instead runs from whichever folder you put it in.
The audio quality is good, and as an added bonus it tracks the number to/from which the call is made, and the date and time of the call. I couldn't ask for more.

Update: 10/21
The software sometimes pops up an error message and then continues to run fine. It seems to happen when a call comes in. It isn't more than a nuisance.
