the tree showed up looking rather yellowish, and there were pieces of the tree all over in the box. The tree was not well cared for and was not able to survive the journey to my house. Waste of money.

I ordered a bonsai tree three weeks before Christmas so it would arrive for my husband before we left to go out of town. Lou told me I would be receiving a tracking number the day I ordered it. I did not receive the tracking number so I called back every day for a week and left one message but was unable to leave anymore because his mailbox was full. The tree did not come and when I called to ask for a refund (after two weeks of calling someone picked up the day before Christmas) they said they would but then they did not refund me the full amount. They were apologetic but trying to get in touch with them and was a NIGHTMARE and i had no gift for my husband on Christmas. VERY UNRELIABLE

I liked the tree, but when it arrived, I felt that it was very, very little. It also didn't have an actual japanese pot. But I liked the fact that the tree had nutrients included with the tree.

I bought this same bonsai tree a year ago for $30 plus shipping; now it is less than half of the original price. I bought again with the latest low price; but I received a juniper tree in a cheap ceramic container that cracked over the winter - even with protection! As of the tree, it did not make it even the description says it is outdoor/indoor and easy to care for; it was shipped from Florida that has never been over wintered in our IOWA weather.

I am very disappointed about the product, I received a juniper tree newly planted into a CHEAP clay/ceramic pot; it had a crack when received and it is DEFINITELY not a Japanese pot as claimed! My wife, who purchased this tree for me, should have read the reviews carefully before purchase. When I read them, I found it weird that NONE of the good reviews (except for the negative comment) referred to [ASIN:B000M646KM LOU'S BONSAI NURSERY JUNIPER BONSAI TREE IN JAPANESE POT], they all were praising LOUS for different items and reasons????

I ordered a calamondin bonsai tree for a Christmas gift. Lou did not have one in fruit, so he sent another tree as a gift until the calamondin tree is ready. Absolutely great service. Highly recommended.

I bought this tree, not only was the shipping phenomenal but the customer service is great.

sent a flowering bonsai tree as a memorial gift. they loved it and said the tree was wonderfully cared for and shipped nicely.

Before purchasing anything from Lous bonsai, check out the reviews on the Internet, not the ones he writes but the legitimate ones. They're horrible. He promises one thing and delivers another, then offers to replace it, either never does or, as he did in our case, sends one as bad as the first. Terrible merchant. I wouldn't buy dog food from this guy.

I did not get the Juniper, but my friend sent me as a gift the Calamondin Bonsai Tree. It is my first bonsai and Lou was very helpful when I called 2 days after I got it, as I had no idea how I was supposed to treat it. He explained me what to do, where to place it and asked me to call back in a 1 month so he would further explain me how to fertilize it.
