5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! This book is HOT!, August 1, 2002
I Love Bad Boys is a new Brava anthology featuring stories by Lori Foster, Janelle Denison, and Donna Kauffman. For those of you who've not had the pleasure of reading these three talented authors, you're in for a definite treat!

First up is Foster's Indulge Me. I must say that this one was my favorite of the three. It's the entertaining tale of shy Becky Harte and George Westin, the man who's had a featured role in Becky's dreams for the past 2 years, unbeknownst to him. Challenged by two of her pals, Becky enters an intimate shop, where she runs into George, and though mortified at being seen THERE by him, she does manage to survive the experience. Indeed, meeting there gives Becky and George a window into each other's deepest thoughts and desires. This story is VERY sexy and erotic. But it's more than that, too. It has elements of fun and humor as well as vulnerability. I also enjoyed the friendship that exists between Becky and her friends, Asia and Erica. For this story alone, I Love Bad Boys is more than worth the trip to the bookstore. But add in the other stories, and you've got quite a find!

The second story in the anthology is Naughty by Night by Janelle Denison. This is a wonderful story about the romance of Chloe Anderson and Gabe Mackenzie, two people who've actually been in love for years but were kept apart by Gabe's stubborn pride. A poker game wager brings the two closer together, allowing them to indulge their wildest fantasies.

The last story is Donna Kauffman's And When They Were Bad, which tells the story of Cameron James and Ally Walker, who meet at a private club called Intimacies where anything goes. Ally and Cam are both trying to find out more about themselves and what they want out of life, and in so doing they discover a lot about each other, too.

If you like sexy stories (and I mean sexy), interesting men, and happy endings then I Love Bad Boys will be right up your alley.

5.0 out of 5 stars When Bad is so Good, January 23, 2003
A collection of 3 novellas of erotic romance. There is a highish price tag on this trilogy, but it is definitely worth it if `hot' is your bag, as these steamy stories are great representatives of their type.

`Indulge Me' is the second story of three that Foster is telling about 3 friends who make a bet to visit a newly opened porn shop in their squeaky clean middle America town. Becky Harte's is the middle story (it doesn't take any psychic talent to forsee that the 3 stories will probably be amalgamated into one volume and reprinted by the publisher at a later date - like `The Winston Brothers'). Becky is quiet, shy and hiding something. She needs to find someone who is into bondage in order to release her inhibitions and let herself go wild. George Westin has fancied Becky the entire time they'd been working for the same company, but was convinced Becky did not reciprocate his interest. When he found out from a friend what Becky was planning, George resolved to become her partner. Only he thought that she would be the one tied up... but that was not Becky's plan at all.

`Naughty by Night' tells the story of Chloe Anderson and Gabe Mackenzie, ex friends and almost lovers. The trust between them was shattered six years ago when Gabe appeared to lead Chloe along and then dump her, then heading out of town to Chicago, where he has since made a name for himself as a sports agent. They still know each other through Chloe's brothers, but are no longer truly friends and see each other very infrequently. He's in town again, at the poker game that Chloe and her brothers play weekly. And something seems to have changed - the sexually charged atmosphere always simmering between them has jumped up a notch or twelve. Ultimately more than money is bet, and now Gabe is hers for 3 hot dates. Dates that Chloe means to bring things to a boil and sear Gabe from her system once and for all. You know what they say about the best laid plans...

`And When They Were Bad' is about Cameron James IV, who has had a very bad year. He's now vacationing at Intimacies, a chance to lose the `good boy' that he's been all his life and find his wild side at this private club where anything goes. Allison Walker is hardly the woman of his fantasies - a bit clumsy, always getting herself into deep water, and physically not his type. And yet he can't seem to stop himself from helping her out, can't seem to avoid running into her, and can't seem to get her out of his mind, until the situation presents itself when he can act on his surprising attraction.

I liked all 3 stories, although the first and last were my favourites because they featured shy or insecure women who came into their own. And as for heat - phew!

5.0 out of 5 stars Three great stories in one book, October 19, 2002
By A Customer
I Love Bad Boys is a collection of three hot, fun-to-read stories. Lori Foster's contribution, Indulge Me, is the second installment in her trilogy of novellas about 3 friends, the new sex shop in town, a pact - and a steamy romance for each. Indulge Me is Becky and George's story, a fun and sexy tale about shy Becky's fantasies, and how George fullfills them. (Don't miss Lori Foster's stories about Becky's friends! You can find Asia and Cameron's story in Satisfy Me, Lori Foster's contribution to the anthology All Through the Night. Erica has her turn in Drive Me Wild, in the I Brake for Bad Boys anthology.) In "Naughty by Night," Janelle Denison tells the story of former football player Gabe and Chloe, the woman he's wanted for years. When he blew out his knee - and with it, his chances of an NFL career - giving her up seemed like the honorable thing to do. Now, he's back. Can Chloe forgive him? "When They Were Bad" by Donna Kauffman is the story of Cameron and Allison, two people who temporarily leave their "real" lives behind, in hopes of finding their wild sides at an intimate resort in the Caribbean. You'll want to read more by all three of these authors!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Mind-Blowing Anthology!, August 14, 2002
I hadn't tried these romance anthologies until now. Glad I did! This is one of the most mind-blowingly great reads I have had all summer. Romance and erotica are a match made in heaven!

I Love Bad Boys has three stories. Lori Foster's "Indulge Me" is my favorite one. It was a pleasure -- so to speak -- to indulge in the story of shy-girl-breaking-out-her-shell Becky and her fantasy to experience bondage with George Westin, her boss and long-time crush, come true. The scenes are provocative to the max. I also enjoyed the two other stories, "Naughty By Night," by Janelle Denison and "...And When They Were Bad," by Donna Kauffman. But, unlike "Indulge Me," these stories have chapters that are completely devoted to intimate scenes. As a fan of erotica, I love to read books of this sort, but reading chapters with only intimate scenes in them is like reading a thriller with nothing but murder scenes in chapters. There's just too much sex! I would have liked to know more about the characters. But, alas, the stories are still great and romantic. I also love the fact that the book's so-called "Bad Boys" aren't bad at all, save for the bedroom.

I look forward to reading more of these romance/erotica anthologies in the future. The stories are sensuous and romantic at the same time. I highly recommend this gem!

5.0 out of 5 stars Sometimes being badder is better, September 13, 2002
By
Desmond Chan (Bishan North Singapore) - See all my reviews
Three's a crowd - but the triumvirate of erotic romance author can hardly do any wrong here except being at their most irreverent and indulgent to translate their inner fantasies to sizzling stories. Lori Foster spearheads with INDULGE ME picking up the story on innocent Becky Harte fulfilling a dare to venture into the scandalous porn shop in local Indiana. Mortification grips her when she meets her gorgeous supervisor George Westin - and erroneously thought her to develop a fetish for bondage. It is such riotous fun when the devilish George gets more than he bargains for and tender passion when Becky reveals her insecurities with the flaws on her body. Seasoned Harlequin writer Janelle Denison raises temperature with Naughty By Night - a simple tale about Gabe Mackenzie reclaiming his lost love through a poker card game that grants Chloe four nights of enslaved passion. Ms. Denison's idea of an erotic night is sparkingly romantic and original - and proves even watching a date movie with a loved one can be evocative in communication. Even Donna Kauffman cannot resist to stage a full-blown sexual escapade with distressed magnate Cameron James VI coming to a private resort dedicated to sensual pleasures and finds love in a remote island. The passionate play at the waterfall is sensuous and mystic; Ally and Cameron are two kindred spirits with heart and soul. I Love Bad Boys teases the senses with its risque theme on dangerous and virile men in their quest for love. It is wild, lush and deliciously sexy. Serves to remind us that sometimes being badder can be better.

2.0 out of 5 stars Too much sex, too little story, February 15, 2003

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Like a couple of others who reviewed this book, I thought there was too much sex and too little story. The Lori Foster one was by far the best, and the one by Janelle Denison should have just been submitted to Penthouse Forum. This would have been a better trilogy if it had just been the three books from Foster's story of three friends who have a dare going about the sex shop across from their office.

5.0 out of 5 stars heated graphic tales of sex leading to love, August 13, 2002
"Indulge Me" by Lori Foster. Reticent Becky enters a sex shop at the coaxing of her friends. Following her into the shop is George, who lusts after Becky. George helps Becky purchase some items and persuades her to let him introduce her to the world of light sexual bondage. George begins to kiss Becky, but she slows him down. He agrees because he wants more than just a one-night stand.

"Naughty by Night" by Janelle Denison. Gabe returns to San Diego to get Chloe back in his life after he left her six years ago. At a poker game they agree to a special stake. Chloe wins and tells Gabe he will service her for the next four nights. Gabe thinks this is the opportunity he needs, but Chloe plans to use him before leaving him.

"And When They Were Bad" by Donna Kauffman. Cameron is tired of being the Good Samaritan to the world. He travels to an exclusive island club to play out his fantasy of being a bad boy. At the isle, he intercedes twice when males manhandle Allison. Cam and Allie make love, but she plans to leave in the morning because she believes Cam would never want her in his life.

These three tales star couples in which an inexperienced woman gets the man of her dreams to make love to her several times and in several ways before he proposes marriage to her. The stories are fun as they contain light bondage, excessive profanity, and heated graphic tales of sex leading to love.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW! A very sensual anthology!, November 13, 2002
By
INDULGE ME by Lori Foster. This is the second of related stories about three friends that have made a pact involving a visit to
"Wild Honey" a new sex shop in a small and conservative town. Now, is the turn of Becky Harte. She is very shy and
inexperienced. When she is at the shop she mets George Westin, who is a supervisor at the factory where she works and is the
man of her dreams. George is a very atractive and experienced man and is atracted to Becky, but she has kept him at a distance,
hiding her own atraction to him. Now, Becky and George are going to live their fantasies and they are going to have a well
deserved happy ever after. This story involves a little bondage, and it is done with very good taste and with a funny twist.
My only complain is that the story ended too soon.

NAUGHTY BY NIGHT by Janelle Denison. Gabe McKenzie had walked away from Chloe Anderson six years before, believing
he was doing the honorable thing by giving her the chance to find someone who could giv her everything he couldn't (a torn
ligament in his knee ended his career as a professional football player before it ever began). Now he return to recover her since he
never been able to forget her. Now a poker game and the high stakes they set give them four nights to try recover the lost time
and accept that they are made for each other.

...AND WHEN THEY WERE BAD by Donna Kauffman. Cameron James IV has spent his entire life being Mr. Nice Guy, now
for the next two days he just wants to have fun with a bad girl in a club named Intimacies located at a Caribbean island. However,
he is atracted to a nice girl, Allison Walker, who also is trying to find her inner wild side. Together they will be very bad and will
discover that they want a lifetime together.

Unlike in most anthologies, here all the three stories are excellent. I highly recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Oh, yes we DO love Bad Boys!, August 10, 2002
The I LOVE BAD BOYS Anthology is a hit! Filled with stories from three talented authors, it's a summer sizzler and sure to be a keeper for readers of romance and sexy characters.

The first story is Lori Foster's INDULGE ME, with Becky Harte as the next victim to take the bet that she, Asia and Erica waged (Asia was the first, and her story is told in the ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT Anthology, also by Kensington/Brava). Becky must go into the porn shop across the street from where the three women work, and she'll approach the first man to choose items that pertain to her secret fantasy. Becky is shy, but a bet's a bet...
George Westin has an ace in the hole: He knows of Becky's plans. Cameron was Asia's sexy interest when she had her turn, and he happens to be George's friend. Cam doesn't want to see Becky hurt, and George has wanted Becky for a long, long time. Thanks to Cameron, this is George's chance to get to know quiet, timid Becky.
One thing: The interest Becky shows in certain items in the shop leaves George marveling at her slightly kinky but definitely naughty side. Who knew?
Right from the word Go, both Becky and George make assumptions that are far from the reality of her fantasy. Will they each be able to set aside their expectations of their night of pleasure? It's a question of trust. And it's not a game; it's forever.
Lori Foster's gift for writing heroes that are at once both honorable and irresistible makes this a story of silly fun, with a bet that's taken further than any of the women imagined, but also serious in the emotions her characters harbor and discover in each other. I'm never disappointed when this author's name graces the cover of a book! Pure Entertainment!

Next is Janelle Denison's story, NAUGHTY BY NIGHT, and the title fits the story to a T!
Chloe Anderson missed out on her chance with sexy Gabe Mackenzie when he left 6 years ago to make a new life for himself after his career as a pro football player is cut short by an injury.
Now Gabe's back. He kisses her in greeting in the privacy of her kitchen at her weekly poker game with her brothers, and things just keep getting hotter and hotter as the stakes get higher and higher.
Chloe brother's leave when the sexual tension between Gabe and their sister gets to be uncomfortable. They don't even want to know what the ante is when the two face each other across the cloth table.
Good thing too. As the see and raise, and finally call, Chloe is the victor, and because she convinces herself she wants revenge on Gabe for leaving her aroused and alone all those years ago, without fulfilling her more fervent wish: to have him; she makes Gabe her sex slave for the four short days he'll be in town; to carry out her fantasies, and indulge her every whim. Tough job that! Not really. Gabe's feelings for Chloe have remained the same regardless of the fact that he walked away from his dreams of ever having her for his own. Chloe certainly doesn't make it easy for him, but Gabe can appreciate the irony of having to wait for satisfaction
But as these two delve into a world filled with passion, restraint, need and satiation, Chloe and Gabe begin to communicate not only with their bodies, but also their hearts.
Will we know what Gabe's wager was in that game that could change the lives they've carved out for themselves? Will it make a difference?
Janelle Denison is another author whose talents for spinning a yarn with characters that are appealing but sexy as sin have fans clamoring for more and more stories of naughtiness and lust, but always at the heart of it all is love. NAUGHTY BY NIGHT is a true statement in this story!

Last, but certainly not least in this book of sensual delights is Donna Kauffman's ...AND WHEN THEY WERE BAD. Readers.... Let me just finish it: They were VERY bad!
Cameron James IV and Allison walker are strangers on an island resort but looking for the same thing: decadence and indulging in sexual pleasure that neither would ever admit to in the "real world".
Cam sees Allison at one of the bars at the ultra private club, being pawed by two men. While she tries valiantly to be assertive and brush them off politely, she is failing and Cam reluctantly becomes her Sir Galahad, disengaging her from the men's clutches but gets a scowl from her for his efforts. Because he's at the resort to be free of the responsibilities that are heaped on him in his real life, Cam's happy to let her walk away so he can pursue more...experienced prospects.
Chance has the two meeting up later on, and Allison is once again on the receiving end of more fun than she can handle. His feelings of chivalry have him jumping into the fray and Allison is once again less than appreciative. But to his annoyance, Allison's timidity intrigues him more than any of the most enthusiastic guests of the resort might.
Cam goes with his instincts and pursues Allison. The hot passion that flows like lava between them could make islanders believe a volcano is about to erupt!
The explicit games they witness stir their senses, but it's their private, more intimate play that sates their clawing hunger.
What will happen when they must leave the exclusive resort and go back to their own, separate lives? And can a night of lust and passion on a Fantasy Island turn to love and commitment in the harsh light of day?
Donna Kauffman pens an absolutely blazing tale of fantasies fulfilled in a break from reality. How they mesh together is why she has become a popular name among romance readers. A must read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Gotta Love Those Bad Boys...and Girls, August 4, 2002
I LOVE BAD BOYS are three stories of three ladies who are good girls and who want a night of passion with a bad boy. The front cover promises that these are "tales of erotic romance." They are not kidding...all three stories promise to scorch your fingers as you read the book. Although the stories are hot, they are still very much romance stories. The guys in these stories may not be what some would call "Bad Boys," but they are to the women who lust after them.

Indulge Me by Lori Foster features the second of three female friends from her earlier story, Satisfy Me (in ALL THROUGH THE N IGHT). Becky Harte wants to keep her side of the bet she and her friends had by entering a Porn shop and propositioning the first man she encounters for a night of wild sex. George Westin secretly knows about the pact and wants to be that man. Both secretly lust after one another, but for various reasons, had not acted upon it. Now each has their chance. I found the story very good, and hot.

Naughty by Night by Janelle Denison has a couple who have known one another since they were teenagers. Chloe Anderson and Gabe Mackenzie were attracted to one another when young, but he felt compelled to resist. Now he is older and back in town, ready to act upon his desires. Chloe is also eager to embark on a brief affair with him to satisfy her fantasies and boy, does she ever have hot fantasies. Another hot story.

...And When They Were Bad by Donna Kauffman has a couple who meet for the first time at a vacation resort. Cameron James IV could have any woman he wants at the resort, but he is drawn to Allison Walker, who seems to be getting in over her head. They are both the quintessential good guy and good girl who come to the resort to be bad. They end up with being bad with one another... In my opinion, the hottest story of the three, although all three would rate as hot stories.

Overall, I was very satisfied with the three stories. I got what I wanted: romance, hot stories and a happily ever after. I look forward to seeing the three authors continuing to write for the Brava line, as they show they know how to write blazing erotic romance.
