Product Description

LOVE! ROMANCE! DRAMA!

If you enjoy involving, can't-put-it-down fiction, you will love Ruth Harris's LOVE AND MONEY, the 3rd book in her 20th Century Series.

Set in motion by a cruel betrayal, LOVE AND MONEY is set in the "if you've got it, flaunt it" 1980's, a decade that saw the spectacular rise--and fall--of the rich and famous and set the stage for the century's end.

Deedee Dahlen and Lana Bantry share a father but not an inheritance, a lover but not a commitment. Deedee, born with a silver spoon, is adored and indulged--until her world turns upside down.  Lana, the child of a brief encounter, is humiliated and rejected--until she forces the world to pay attention.

Rich girl, poor girl, Deedee and Lana do not know of each other's existence and might never have met until their worlds collide when fate--and murder--bring them face to face.

"SPECTACULAR, RICHLY PLOTTED. Racing to a shocking climax, this glittering novel is first-class entertainment." --NY Times Book Review

"TOTALLY BELIEVABLE AND FASCINATING. Ruth Harris has come up with a novel so entertaining and interesting you won't have to hide if someone asks you what you're reading." --West Coast Review of Books

"FAST-PACED, SUPERIOR FICTION WITH A ZINGING SENSE OF STYLE. Skillfully written, highly commercial. A terrifically satisfying 'good read.'" --Fort Lauderdale News Sun-Sentinel

DECADES (20th Century Series, Book #1) Spanning the years from the 1940's to the rebellious "Make Love, Not War" 1960's, DECADES is the emotional story of a marriage, a family and three generations of women facing the challenges of their turbulent times.

HUSBANDS AND LOVERS (20th Century Series, Book #2)--Carlys Webber's lonely and insecure beginnings are in the past but her future is threatened when her loving husband turns into a stranger and she is tempted to find comfort in the arms of another man.

MODERN WOMEN (20th Century Series, Book #4), a million copy New York Times bestseller, begins in Dallas, Texas with the assassination of John F. Kennedy on 11/22/63. MODERN WOMEN is about three memorable women who live and love during these exciting and tumultuous times.

THE LAST ROMANTICS (20th Century Series, Book #5) is a passionate and sweeping love story set in the glittering capitals of Paris and New York in the 1920's. If you loved MIDNIGHT IN PARIS and THE PARIS WIFE, you will love THE LAST ROMANTICS.

Good Summer Read June 26, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Love and Money - the story of lovely, rich, spoiled Deedee and handsome, dangerous, wrong side of the tracks, Slash. This book grabbed me from the beginning and kept luring me back in until I finished it. Slash is the perfect romantic hero - totally in love with his Deedee and willing to do anything to keep her. The story spans several decades - into the rebellious 60's and 70's. I was fascinated by the explanation of how Slash grows his wealth, proving that he is more than equal to Deedee's rich, upper crust family. Their story is not all happiness though - they have many struggles, and twists and turns along the way, which will keep a reader coming back to see how it all turns out. I highly recommend this book for a great summertime read. I received a complimentary copy of this book in order to review it.

I received a complimentary copy of Love and Money by Ruth Harris in exchange for my review. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it if you're looking for a good summer read. The story of two sisters, their father and the lives they live proves that that old saying, "the grass is always greener on the other side" is only in our perception and how we accept what comes along. I'll be looking for other books by Ruth Harris and hope they are as enjoyable as this one.

A tale of two sisters July 2, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I received a complimentary copy of Love and Money by Ruth Harris in exchange for my doing a review. I enjoyed the character analysis of all the family members. I liked how the book was almost divided between the lives of the 2 sisters and how they dealt with love and money. A lot of surprises when the characters assumed how the others felt rather than giving them a chance to explain themselves. Having money is important but not as important as having love. I will definitely check out the author's other books.
