Book Description

Nancy Drew Files July 1, 1995

NANCY WITNESSES A VIRTUOSO PERFORMANCE PLAYED IN THE KEY OF D. . . FOR DANGER
Nancy has come to Westbridge, Massachusetts, nestled in the Berkshire Mountains, to attend a world-famous piano competition. Soon after her arrival she discovers that one of the finalists, Ted Martinelli, has set his sights on something other than first prize. He has his eye on Nancy, and he's playing a very romantic tune...
But for Nancy, the urgent question is: Will Ted survive the competition? Each of the three finalists has faced a deliberate and mysterious threat, and Nancy knows it's only a matter of time before one of them is hurt. . . or worse. She's uncovered a symphony of sabotage, ambition, and blackmail -- and the climax could prove deadly!

More About the Author

Carolyn Keene and Franklin W. Dixon are the pseudonyms under which many ghostwriters penned the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys series, respectively. Both series were created by Edward Stratemeyer, founder of the Stratemeyer Syndicate book packaging firm, in the late 1920s and early 1930s.

Stratemeyer's daughter, Harriet, and syndicate writer Mildred Wirt Benson were the two people primarily responsible for bringing the iconic character of Nancy Drew to life in the minds and hearts of millions of readers around the world.

5.0 out of 5 stars The metronome is ticking..., July 25, 2004
This review is from: LOVE NOTES (NANCY DREW FILES 109) (Paperback)
As a fan of the Nancy Drew computer games from Her Interactive (wonderful things, by the way), I decided that I should start reading some of the books. I found one that included my love of music, and it was great. All the suspects were convincing, and as the stakes got higher, it became more interesting. I kind of predicted the general outcome, as in who the suspect was, but that didn't take away from the overall appeal. I recommend this book to readers, and to Her Interactive so it can become another game in their series. =)

I enjoy reading The Nancy Drew Files series.
This book was OK but others in the series were better.
