Have a girlfriend, boyfriend, or spouse that you wish you could express your love for? How about your best friend or a relative? This 200 plus page volume can help you express the affection you feel for them in your heart. Perhaps you just enjoy reading quotes and passages for your own pleasure; to make you stop and think. I was amazed at the variety of sources that were tapped into for this book. I will give you some examples.

Famous people in our history:

Albert Einstein, Benjamin Franklin, Martin Luther King, Jr., Abraham Lincoln, and George Washington.

Famous people today:

Woody Allen, Prince Andrew, Barbara Bush, Nancy Reagan, and Julia Roberts.

And let us not forget popular people and characters:

Charlie Brown, Joan Crawford, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Bob Hope, Bruce Lee, Groucho Marx, Ally McBeal, Miss Piggy, Rita Rudner, Ice T, and Mae West.

This is a gift book that would make a nice Valentine's Day (with chocolate of course - aside hint to fearless husband) present especially for the romance reader in your household or just someone a bit depressed. The quotes come from a vast range of the famous, almost famous, the non-famous the infamous, and the most famed Anonymous. Contributions from Gabran to Gaiman to Giacomo (Casanova) provide the audience with short quotes on what love is. Other cited individuals include the likes of Nancy Reagan and Barbara Bush, Jane Austen and Jonathan Swift, Fred Rogers and Mae West. The book is divided into eleven sections that run the gamut from family to friends to possessions to of course true love. This is simply a fun compilation that a reader will love to peruse over time keeping in mind in the immortal words of G. Marx: "Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read". This delightful compilation of loving quotes lives up to that credo.

This is a really great collection of love quotes, ranging from the hilarious quotes making fun of love all the way to the heart-warming quotes about how amazing love is. This author did an incredible job of finding a niche in the quote book market, and found many quotes from a very wide variety of authors. I really enjoyed this one, and you will too.

I recently saw this book at the Salish Lodge near Seattle Washington. I decided not to buy it and instead downloaded it to my Kindle. I'm happy I did as it is a very enjoyable read. The quotes and passages are divided up into small chapters which include: Family, Friends, Beginnings, Companionship, Passion, Heartbreak, Introspection, Possessions, Faith, Life and True Love. What surprised me was how many of the quotes were humorous.

I originally thought this was going to be a book of romantic quotes but actually I was glad it wasn't. This book covers a lot of ground and also talks about unconditional love, platonic love, new love and unrequited love.

The quotes are mostly by famous people including: Albert Einstein, Shakespeare, Miss Piggy, Groucho Marx, Agatha Christie, Nancy Reagan, Joss Whedon, Ingrid Bergman, Lord Byron, Woody Allen, Julia Roberts, Oscar Wilde, Sigmund Freud, Rick Warren, Mother Teresa and C. S. Lewis. This book also contains some verses from the Bible and some quotes by religious leaders of many faiths.

Reading this book is truly a pleasure and you will laugh as much as you will think seriously.

This book was great for my wedding to look up famous quotes from celebrities from the past & present. The price was even better!!!!!

Love is in the air and in this book. I bought this book to help me prep for my MOH speach at my best friends wedding. If this collection of quotes doesn't make you smile, cry, laugh or reminisce of love lost & gained, nothing will. Chapters divided by quotes & passages describing all the different types of love you'll encounter in your life.

I bought this book for my boyfriend and I to share for our anniversary. It's a wonderful little book. Although it looked a little dirty on the cover, a little bit of water cleaned it right up (the cover has a waxy finish which made it easy to clean). Still, I definitely recommend this book.

It's an impressive book even when you think you're an expert in "Love". The quotes makes you think again and again. :)

It was a gift for my daughter and she loved it too.
