5.0 out of 5 stars Dragonlance short stories are as good as the novels
This was the first Dragonlance book with short stories I ever read. I was not dissapointed. The reason I chose this book out of all the others that are availible was, of course, "Raistlin's Daughter". Any one who is a devouted Raistlin fan MUST read that story. It is, by far, the best in the book. If you want to read more about the companians there is also...

3.0 out of 5 stars Love and War
A book of short stories about...you guessed it....love and war, and occasionally both at the same time. Most of the stories were entertaining and a few were quite nice to read.

I would not recommend this book/series as a place to start if you have not read any other DragonLance books, as you may not recognize the people or events. This would greatly take away...

This review is from: LOVE & WAR-3 (Dragonlance: Tales) (Mass Market Paperback)
This was the first Dragonlance book with short stories I ever read. I was not dissapointed. The reason I chose this book out of all the others that are availible was, of course, "Raistlin's Daughter". Any one who is a devouted Raistlin fan MUST read that story. It is, by far, the best in the book. If you want to read more about the companians there is also "Hide And Go Seek", which has the original group. "A Painter's Vision" is also good and so is "By The Measure". I recomend this book to anyone. And if you want to find out if the story about Raistlin's daughter is true, read Dragons Of Summer Flame.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love and War, July 28, 2000
This review is from: LOVE & WAR-3 (Dragonlance: Tales) (Mass Market Paperback)
This book was Excellent. Every short story in the book involves love of some kind, love of heroes, love of poor good souled people. It also talks about the great Huma, and tells how he destroyed the Queen of Darkness: and his love for the Silver dragon he rode, and when transformed , a beautiful woman. Every tale is just magnificent. Raistlins Daughter was not as good as i thought it could be , but , it was still a very good tale. Buy this book , it's a must for Dragonlance Fans.

4.0 out of 5 stars Something to keep you in the world of krynn, October 2, 1999

This review is from: LOVE & WAR-3 (Dragonlance: Tales) (Mass Market Paperback)
This is one of thse little gems of literature, from my point of view. Love & War has some fine, little tales concerning the world of the dragonlance chronicles & legends, and it is something quite fitting to read when you go to bed alone.

3.0 out of 5 stars Love and War, January 19, 2011
This review is from: LOVE & WAR-3 (Dragonlance: Tales) (Mass Market Paperback)
A book of short stories about...you guessed it....love and war, and occasionally both at the same time. Most of the stories were entertaining and a few were quite nice to read.

I would not recommend this book/series as a place to start if you have not read any other DragonLance books, as you may not recognize the people or events. This would greatly take away from the stories. However, if you have read a few and you would like a quick peak into the characters' lives before and after their novel worthy deeds, I'm sure you would enjoy this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Stories, April 8, 2000
This review is from: LOVE & WAR-3 (Dragonlance: Tales) (Mass Market Paperback)
This is, to me, the best of the tales series, 1 and 2. The stories take great care into the develpment of the people, the stories seem to generally be about love for one another, how they go great lenghts for their loved ones. The story of, "A Painters Vision" was truly magnificent. The story was so great, and how the two were ultimately joined together (not like at the hips, not like that) was truly a work of pure genius. Raistlin's Daughter was O.K., but I don't see what the big fuss about it is, it was pretty unbelievable, Raistlin didn't at all seem how he acted in all the other books. And, yes, Raistlin's Daughter is a true story, unlike what other people believe. I would definately get this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Tender and Touching, March 15, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: LOVE & WAR-3 (Dragonlance: Tales) (Mass Market Paperback)
"Love and War" isn't an adventure book like other Dragon Lance books, but it is interesting and quite charishable to read about the romance and honor that helps create this land which we so love. This is a must for any Dragon Lance fan who enjoys the love that embraces Krynn. Warning: You may want to have a handkerchief (just barrow one from Tasslehoff) while you read.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good book...maybe four stars!!!!, October 7, 2003
This review is from: LOVE & WAR-3 (Dragonlance: Tales) (Mass Market Paperback)
First off, I am in the process of reading over sixty Dragonlance novels in chronological order, so click on my name for great and humourous reviews...true also! Now to this book...I almost gave this book four stars, it's that good. Ten stories in all and half of them are great! The other half are boring, but if they are boring they at least have a decent story. The action is the boring part and in some stories questions are left unanswered, by an author's mistake. The love stories in a few of these are some of the best! Raistlin's Daughter is a enjoyable story, but as you will find out in later books the story is completely (BLANK)! Not gonna spoil it! May be one of the best Tales books because it has the most good stories. Read this!

I have to give all the short story novels 3 stars. There are some stories you won't like but they'll be 2-4 really great ones that will make the books worth the price.

This is by far the best of the "Tales". The stories are moving, and wonderfuly written. Everything is included; from the tale of the darken wood to the pain of a painter's dream. These short epics tell of a world torn by war and healed by love.
