Couldn't tell you how many times I've ordered this product by now. I absolutely love it and will continue using it. I'm 61 but often guessed 10 to 15 years younger -- and this is one of my secrets. I have always loved to experiment with different kinds of lotions & products -- some quite expensive -- but this one is so awesome it became permanent and the price is very reasonable. After cleansing my face, I apply a bit of this and love the fresh, smooth feel of my skin. Thank you, L'Occitane!

With middle age came terribly dry skin on my face. The worst of it? Endless little flakes around my forehead and cheeks which did not respond to any manner of moisturizer that I tried. Not even olive oil, avocado oil, etc. helped. Natural products, anti-ageing products, dermatologist reco'd products, gentle exfoliation -- I racked up quite a supply of products and expenses, but nothing made a difference. Short of using cortisone cream daily (a bad idea since it will thin the skin), I had no remedy. Somehow I had passed by the miracle of shea butter -- maybe because it's usually in products with ingredients I wouldn't put on my face? But after trying PUR mineral makeup, loving it and discovering that it was loaded with shea butter, I searched for a face cream with shea butter and the "cleanest" ingredient list I could locate. I found this L'Occitane product and couldn't be happier. My flaking has cleared up 99% and my skin feels as smooth as it looks. This is a rich, luscious cream. Love it! It inspired me to use shea butter body lotion as well, which I also highly recommend to those with dry, sensitive skin.

I use this as a part of a regimen, which I supplement with Immortelle for day time with SPF (under makeup).
I love the texture (really refined) and the smell but most importantly I like the results. I have never stuck to a brand before, I am always buying something new hoping for that miracle cream to fix the carnage created in my teenage yrs.. my skin was a mess of redness and dryness and scars and uneven skin tones (brought on by N-Lite laser treatment) which I had under-gone for my acne.
My skin has a nice glow now, it is amazing, I wonder how many more jars before I can throw out the foundation completely which has been a goal of mine since puberty. I always loved that fresh faced look you only see on cute children after they have had a full day in the sun.. skin clear and ruddy with life.
can't recapture childhood on the playground but you can a lovely youthful face..
hope you like it as much as I do, and hope with this review they don't raise the price, although to be honest this jar will last you quite a long time with regular use (contrast with olay which lasted me about 22 days) you really get your money's worth out of this..

Love this product. It is lightly scented, and best used for evening because it is a heavy cream.

I live in Denver which has a very dry climate. Finding a face cream that helps hydrate, but doesn't cause break outs is a challenge. This is THE most amazing product. My skin looked better after 1 day of use, I'm not kidding.

I received a jar of this for Christmas and have been using it every night before bed and I swear the wrinkles on my forehead are smoother. My face feels very supple and moist (I'm almost 54 yrs. old). I will continue to use this, especially in winter.

This cream got great reviews, but I don't care for it at all. Perhaps it works fine, but I do not like the fact that the fragrance lingers so I am constantly aware of it. When I wear perfume, I want the fragrance to last. I also found it makes my eyes water: not a good sign. I do not have sensitive skin either.

People guess my age to be at least 12 years younger than I really am. Do I owe it all to this cream? No. But I do think hydration is an important component for healthy feeling and looking skin.

I am not one to pay huge sums for creams and lotions, but in the Winter, I break my rules and get the Ultra Rich Face Cream and the Ultra Rich Body Cream from L'Occitane. I live in a very DRY part of the country, and Winter can really take it's toll. This cream saves my face and it's very comforting to my skin.

The only "down" side is that this cream isn't cheap. I have looked at the health-food stores for other more reasonably priced shea butter products, but I have found that they have a "smell" to them that is unappealing, and they don't seem to sink-in as well on my skin. So, for me, the ingredients that are blended with the shea butter in this product, really do make a difference for absorption.

Does it prevent wrinkles? I doubt it. I don't believe beauty-hype.

A little of this cream goes a long way, and it does last a long time. I will continue to buy the Ultra-Rich line of L'Occitane and have a comfortable face and body this Winter. If you live in a dry area, it might work for you too.
