Best Keychain light I have ever seen!,
By
This review is from: Photon X-Light Micro LED Flashlight
I was lucky enough to receive this light from a vendor I work with, they had the manufacturer customize with their logo etc. I was a little skeptical at first when I saw it, it's very small so I was thinking 'How bright could it be?'. Upon opening the package and trying it out quickly I was pretty amazed how bright this little device was, of course this was in my office with standard office lighting at the time. When I got home that evening I checked it out in more detail and WOW was all I could say. This little thing lights up with incredibly bright white/blueish light, take it into a dark bathroom and it will light up the entire room, aim it at a wall from about 4' away and it will have a light pattern about 5' in diameter.
The light also has different modes of operation. Momentary on Latching on/off Press and hold to ramp intensity of LED up/down Press and hold to start SOS flashing Press and hold to start 1 flash every 8 seconds. Press and hold to start 1 flash every 1 second. Press and hold to start 'super flash' probably 1/4 second pulses, this mode will certainly attract attention, fast. Buy it, you cannot go wrong. Great gift for anyone who drives a car, it could literally save your life.

Great light. Trick to get it out of demo mode.,

Great light. The other brand I had required you to hold the button down continuously -- which actually hurt my fingers because it required so much pressure.
In reply to one review, you have to find and follow the directions on how to take the light out of "demo mode" on one of the inside flaps of the box. Then it will stay on, etc.

Great Keychain Light, Ghastly Color,
By jerry i h (Berkeley, CA USA) - See all my reviews This little thing is one inch square and the thickness of 5 quarters. It goes on your keychain, and is small enough to be inconspicuous in your pants pocket. Despite its diminutive size, you get a surprisingly large amount of useable light for those everyday tasks. It uses a 5mm LED, and I compared it to a number of other similar items (especially: Gerber Tempo); the brightness of the X was on par with the others, neither significantly weaker nor stronger than the rest. It is quite convenient and very useful. I knocked it down one notch because I can get a similar flashlight for less, and another notch because of the yucky color of the light. On the down side, I have a number of no-name Photon knock-offs that cost less. The light these cheapies give is indistinguishable from the X, so is the X really worth the extra $$$? The color of the light is the usual pastel baby-blue, but the corona is an awful, seasick-green, and is not that pleasant; this lack of attention to detail is surprising from such a well respected company. The main issue is the controversial computer control. You can just click the button on and off, and this is how I suggest you use this light and ignore the computer modes. If you hold down the ON button, it cycles through several modes: reduced intensity, beacon/flash, SOS, strobe. Honestly, I cannot imagine that you will ever use these computer modes. Perhaps: emergency survival, dogs that are allowed out at night off leash, children at Halloween. I have had this or a similar item on my keychain regularly, and I have never used anything other than the basic ON/OFF. I should also note that replacement batteries cost as much as the flashlight itself, and is difficult to do. Another reason to look elsewhere for a good keychain flashlight.
