Excellent Presentation of Research,
By Interestingly, the overall response of the participants (only 48 could be found) in the 40-year follow-up, even by those whose experiences included high degrees of discomfort, was positive. Dr. de Rios's writing is highly readable while retaining sufficient structure and detail to qualify it for citation in the ethnographic literature. Includes a bibliography.

This review is from: LSD, Spirituality, and the Creative Process: Based on the Groundbreaking Research of Oscar Janiger, M.D. (Paperback)
I have always been curious about LSD and what it does to your brain or consciousness. I was curious why people would take such a "dangerous" drug without fear of "bad trips."
This book explained really well to me what LSD is all about and what it truly does to people. Most importantly, I realized why it is banned and outlawed. Somehow this book made me realize that there truly seems to be something to spirituality. To a degree, it kind of reinstated my faith in a higher power again. For anyone curious about the effects of LSD on one's psyche, consciousness or brain, this is the book to read. |
