I bought one of these for my wife, who is being treated for cancer. I though it would be soothing for her. It is. It's sort of fun to just watch the mist swirl up out of the bowl, and you can change the colors and light pattern to your heart's content. I like to leave it on our back porch at night, to see if the neighbors think it's a UFO. It does what it does very well. It humidifies if you want (hey, not to de-mistify the product, pardon the pun, but what it is is a sonic humidifier generator unit, sitting in a bowl, with LED's around it to make the color), it entertains, and it soothes. And it even does the aromatherapy thing, which I usually do not like, sinus problems and all, but it is not obnoxious at all. This is truely a 21st Century lava light, but to me, much more interesting and entertaining. I even bought a "mist generator unit" (this gizmo without the bowl) from another source and put it in the back yard pond. One can never have too much mist-ery in one's life. Get one for yourself, make your own puns.
