I just loved the DVD. Melissa Etheridge is such am amazing performer that it only does her justice to watch her live. The whole DVD is fun and exciting; it feels like you're really at one of her shows, which as we all know are the best. Plus you get all the extra features like an interview with Melissa and the cameras follow her around New York City! I thought it was so cool cause I got to see what she does to get her self prepared for a big show. The concert footage is incredible, it's like you have the best seat in the house. The whole show rocks!

Before this new cd/dvd release from Melissa Etheridge, I read some of the negative reviews posted here at Amazon. All I can say is, HELLO?! A true Melissa Etheridge fan will be captivated by the dvd. The footage of "A day in the life" had me mesmerized from start to end. The footage of her performance is its usual moving experience. I do wish that the cd and dvd included some of my old favorites, but there is plenty of time for this artist to release more material. If you enjoy the music and words of Melissa Etheridge at all, you will not be dissappointment with the purchase of this cd/dvd set. Melissa you rock!

OMG.. I have NO idea what most of the reviewers here have been watching or listening to. I am a DIE-HARD, FOREVER Melissa fan, and reading some reviews, I almost doubted that this would be an awesome release. On a scale from 1-5, can you say 6 PLUS !! This is an AWESOME & INCREDIBLE release. I have been glued to my dvd player for many, many hours. If you can honestly sit through Melissa's review and not be brought to chills or tears... and can sit through Melissa and the bands's commentary and not feel like you're on the couch laughing with them, or feel the warmth and the connection that they share... then you simply aren't a Melissa fan ... or in my opinion, ALIVE & feeling for that matter. Watching "A day in the life" of Melissa and Tammy will make you FEEL the wonderful and amazing love that they share. They make you feel truly blessed and in awe. As always, Melissa's music makes people FEEL. This goes WAY ABOVE and BEYOND that. With her first DVD "Live And Alone", I was amazed. With this second one, I was lead to believe that I might be disappointed. NOT TRUE AT ALL. I was prepared for it not to be up to my usual flawless high standard that I regard for Melissa. However, what I was not prepared for was to be TOTALLY blown away. I've been sitting at my dvd player for over 5 hours, and still have A LOT of footage to go. I have paid hundreds and hundreds, if not thousands of dollars to see Melissa LIVE, over and over again. And will continue to do so. However, if you want to see MELISSA "LIVE" from the comfort of your own home, in addition to having extraordinary bonus footage, and an amazing cd, then I would HIGHLY suggest getting this DVD/CD. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion ... but I am still wondering if those who doubted this dvd /cd were watching and listening to the same one I was. Melissa, Tammy, Phillip, Mark and Kenny... YOU ROCK !!!!!

I've been looking forward to this DVD ever since she mentioned it durning the concert I attended. Not only was the concert footage fantastic, the bonus features, A Day In The Life Documentary and Commentary are great. Definitely a must have for Melissa fans.

I've loved Melissa Etheridge since I first heard "You Can Sleep While I Drive." However, after viewing this dvd I fell in love with her all over again. Seeing her perform, watching the entire day of the concert, getting a peek at her relationship with Tammy and her crew, was like getting to hang out for the day with "my friend" Melissa. If you haven't seen her live DO SO! If you don't own this dvd, you are missing a lot of fun and entertainment! 5 stars Melissa. We can't wait for you to get back on the road!

I was at this show. it was AMAZING and i find it hard to believe people would be dissapointed...*shrug* to each her own, I suppose. I'm very surprised...

The concert is great. The day in the life was really great. I will watch it over and over.

GREAT DVD, awesome performance, missing a few older songs, seems that about 80% was from the new album, which is GREAT but would have loved to see the older songs when I saw her in concert in 6/04.

Definitely purchase if you are a ME fan. Wouldn't give this to a person who doesn't know her music.

I recently saw Melissa Etheridge perform live at Toronto's intimate "Massey Hall". Her performance was nothing short of incredible. Whatever your sexual orientation, if you can listen to Melissa perform "Nowhere to Go" (her song about growing up gay in Rural Kansas) Live and Alone on the stage and not be moved, then you just don't have a heart or a soul. And her incredible VOICE. You've never "experienced" Melissa the Artist until you see her LIVE! She is FLAWLESS. Her latest effort "Lucky" is a worthy addition to her CD catalogue. "Breathe", "This Moment", "Lucky" and the Rock Anthem of Self Worth "Giant" are standouts. Another CD that I recommend to Melissa fans is "My Kind of World" by Pop/Rock Artist AMBER [...]. Although stylistically closer to Seal and Paula Cole than Melissa, AMBER (who is straight) shares Melissa's large Gay fan base and is an ICON in the Gay Community. Her new CD has been getting glowing reviews noteably from Billboard. Their reviewer said that "Amber deserves a spot in the Mainstream". The first Single, the Alt Rock infused Electronica "You Move Me" hit #1 Stateside on XM Radio. And then there's the Pat Benatar-esque "Just Like That" and the Whitney Houston Meets Pat Benatar Power Ballad "Sacrificial Lamb", a track that virtually screams "HIT!". My advice to Melissa fans: Get "Lucky" CD and DVD and get AMBER - "My Kind of World"

Melissa rocks! Her voice has matured and that just makes it better! Music AND a movie - I'd certainly recommend the package!
