Everyone should own a LUVcart. I just completed a project that I would not have been able to do without my LUVcart and I think everyone should know how great the LUVcart worked for me. We recently received a solid cedar wood swingset that showed up in 30 huge boxes. The deliver guys, as required, dropped the boxes at the bottom of our driveway (which has a significant incline). To top that off my husband had a full cast on after breaking his wrist and was unable to help. I was so anxious to get the swingset up that I decided to get my LUVcart out and haul all the boxes to the backyard by myself. As I said our front yard is steep and the boxes were really heavy, but it was no problem for the LUVcart. I loaded box after box on the LUVcart and off we went. I didn't think I was going to be able to do it but the LUVcart made it effortless and even fun. I was amazed at how powerful the cart was even with the heavy loads. Since then I have used it to haul firewood, mulch and building materials for a shed project. I love the LUVcart and I recommend it to everyone.

I just got this cart and I think it is already worth the money. I had a truck load of mulch and hills to go up with it. The cart went up hill with no problem. Dug up huge clump of zebra grass so heavy I couldn't lift it. But just rolled it into the cart pushed the control and away we went up hill to woods, dumped not a problem. I think this thing is great for an older person like me when you can no longer do the heavy stuff. I LUV it.

Easy to use and well designed. The LUVcart delivers on all of its promises. No more back strains from heavy garden loads. Highly recommended!

Underpowered for hauling gravel, sand or dirt.,

I purchased the LUVCart hoping that it would be a great tool for doing small jobs around the house such as moving pea gravel, dirt, and moving items back and forth from the house to my vehicle. However the LUVCart failed almost immediately after being purchased. The LUVCart is a great idea, and the plastic tub that holds material seems to be fairly well constructed. The weak point seems to be the motor and circuitry. The LUVCart only operated for me for less than an hour before it stopped working and would not restart. Even while it was in operation it strained under the very small load of pea gravel in its bucket, and the bucket was not even half full. The 5 cubic foot of material that the LUVCart is capable of handling is a wild exaggeration unless you only want to haul 5 cubic feet of grass clippings or dry leaves.

Gardening Pleasure Returns,

I highly recommend this product to anyone doing gardening or yardwork. It was so wonderful to have some help spreading 20 yards of mulch, it was actually a pleasure. Instead of some dreaded yard work, I now look forward to other garden chores with excitement. I don't know what I would do without my LUVcart.

Ambivalent / dissatisfied,

I bought the original version last year (Model 45000) of the LUV, the only one available at that time. It was $300. I'm an over-sixty gal -- tough, but breakable under the worst circumstances! After an hour into reading the user manual and package label ("Easy to Assemble - Minimal Tools - Minimal Effort") and attempting to separate and organize the various and sundry unrecognizable parts and bags of hardware, I threw up my hands and shouted, "You've got to be kidding!!!" The main body of the wheelbarrow, separated into two parts, are physically impossible to connect. If you have any joint problems or other physical infirmities, try to rope a muscular guy or auto mechanic into figuring out how to put this wonder together. If the JC Penney catalog says its Over-the-Toilet Etageres" are preferably a "two-person assembly" task, this clunker is such a task without any doubt.Amazon.com's "negative" customer reviews are far more credible than the positive ones. I would not buy it again knowing now what I would be in for, for the following reasons: It is made by a company of two employees (both principals). The disparity of reviews shows that there can be a great difference between two identically-designed units. In the manufacturer's so-called "testing" process, the only "tester" they could name was a member of their immediate family. Quality control is badly lacking. Because the power-assisted mode is only for the "forward" direction, when I needed to make a 45-degree turn with an average load, one of the front tires would invariably pop out of its rim; the short stem made it impossible to reinflate with my compressor, so I had to keep removing the tire and driving it to the auto shop. Also, the user manual said the back tire was not inflatable, and it was only after repeated inquiries to the company that I was told the manual was in error; no customers were notified. The cart NEVER maintained a charge over an entire day's use, carrying even half the maximum load. It constantly needs to be recharged, just like some stick vacuum cleaners. The machine, while excellent in "concept," is fickle and unreliable. The only "repair" under the warranty is to have a replacement component mailed from back East, and you try putting it in yourself. No major home-improvement store here on the West Coast carries it (Home Depot, Lowe's, OSH, MLS), so there has been no mass-testing of the product. So in my view it remains an experiment at the buyer's expense.

LUV is a luv,
By A Customer
This review is from: LUVcart Motorized Lawn Utility Vehiclecc-LUV01B (Lawn & Patio)
I just got this a week ago...assembled in about an hour, goes together well.I have been using it in the garden, and it lets me do things that exhausted me previously...I am somewhat weakened because of surgery last year, and a regular wheelbarrow is really hard to handle. the LUV makes all things possible - planted two big plants today, and used the LUV to haul the un-needed dirt from the hole to the dirt pile. also, carry all my tools to the site in the LUV so that I don't have to go back to get anything. LUV the LUV. don't know what I would do without it! just checked to make sure that it seems popular, because if there is any chance the maker would go under, I would buy a backup LUV (ie, an extra). however, looks like it is being sold in more and more places, and I cannot imagine any senior citizen (like me) going without it. I bought a cart form Amazon in May 2005. It was relatively eazy to assemble, but proved to be completely useless. Reverse function did not work at all, it would not move on a grassy surface and even a slight slope was impossible to overcome without heavy pushing! (So much for Motorized Vehicle).I would like to credit Amazon for allowing me to return this garbage free of charge.

Luv Cart does more than your regular wheelbarrow!,

When the parts first arrived we couldn't get the tub to go together. We called the manufacturer and they went above and beyond to get us what we needed to assemble our new Luv Cart! I just completed a major landscaping renovation and needed to move bushes that weighed over 50 lbs. I don't think it would have been possible without using this great product. We also spread over 12 yards of mulch and got it done in record time since the only muscle we needed was getting the mulch into the wagon. Our professional landscaper invested in two after using ours. Makes gardening even more fun!!!

Great gift,

This cart is perfect. i got one as a gift from my kids last christmas, and i can't imagine doing yardwork without it now. Obviuosly much easier than lugging potting soil around by hand.. which was gettting harder and harder to do with my bad back!... The drink holder comes in quite handy too.. no more turned over soda cans in the grass. A small feature on this produc. but handy. I didnt' think i needed a wheelbarow with a motor.. but this is really a great help for me. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes to garden but hates the hard work associated with it. i love mine.. |
