I have the previous model the Luxe Bidet MB110 which I have had for about a year and a half without a problem. I am still very satisfied with that product.

The main difference from the MB110 is the way it is mounted to the toilet, it is nicer looking and a better design. The way the MB110 was mounted made maintaining that area difficult. The only problem I had with this new mounting design is that my toilet seat screws were not long enough. The other more subtle changes are the water lines are now both braided stainless and a cosmetic change to the knob area.

I highly recommend this product to friends and clients.

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house,
All the toilets were flushing with one last great douse.
The water was turned off and the lines detached,
As Santa the plumber's sneaky plan was hatched.

A T-fitting was added and assembled with care,
Then off came the seats leaving the porcelain bare.
On went a contraption with a curious little spigot
And on with the seat and the nylock nuts with it.

He hooked up the new water line and turned it on,
and examined the connections for drops to spawn.
Content with the results, he dropped his red drawers
and crowned his achievement, behind the closed doors.

With a flick of his wrist, so lively and quick,
it rumbled and hissed and came up with a swish.

For Christmas, I installed bidets on our toilets. I installed two Astor's and one Luxe Vi-110. One major difference between them is the water line. The Luxe uses a flex pipe with a braided metal sheath and threaded fittings. It feels very secure. The Astor uses a thin plastic tube with compression fittings. Both are thus far sufficient, but the Luxe inspires confidence. The Luxe also includes a nifty cartoon user guide, suitable for mounting in front of the throne. Seriously, it's good enough to merit a mention.

The installation of the bidets was straight forward and simple. I ran into only two issues. On one toilet, I had to go buy nylon wing nuts for the seat bolts because the old ones fell apart (not the bidet's fault). The other issue was that after a week, the Luxe in the master bath starting dripping from the T-fitting. Since the fittings are sealed by a rubber gasket, a leak meant that the fitting wasn't tight enough.

..........
For those who may not be aware, this is simply the updated and improved version of the wildly popular Luxe Model MB110 Luxe Bidet MB110 Fresh Water Spray Non-Electric Mechanical Bidet Toilet Seat Attachment, so reviews that pertain to that product will also apply to this one.

While I won't repeat the accolades for functionality, I will point out the following, which may be helpful to those considering purchasing this product:

1) The Vi-110 package INCLUDES a replacement Braided Stainless Steel toilet supply line, which is high quality and may save you five or six bucks and a trip to Lowe's. Many existing installations still have the hard copper or steel supply lines, and a replacement flexible line is necessary for the clearance needed to install the (also included) T connector. It is nice that Luxe has included the new supply line.

2) The main difference between the Vi-110 and the older (and still produced) MB110 is that the new version has a pre-attached braided steel line (separate from the supply line) and a re-designed control panel. It is worth the extra few bucks over the also-excellent MB110.

3) Use Teflon tape (not included) only on metal to metal connections, if made (i.e. replacing supply line). For the plastic connections (i.e., all others), tighten hand tight and then a quarter turn or so with a wrench. Do not over-tighten. If there are leaks, take it apart and try again. As a very last resort, use the Teflon tape on the plastic connections.

4) Start with the bidet pushed as far back as possible, and then adjust forward as needed.

5) Place several folded squares of toilet paper under your connections overnight, and check in the morning to ensure there are no slow leaks.

For the price, this product cannot be beat. It's simple to install, and it does what it says it does. However, I have a couple of issues with it. First, when you turn it on, you would expect to gradually be able to turn the water pressure up until it gently comes in contact with you. Wrong. Because the nozzle is housed inside a spring-loaded enclosure, you have to turn the water pressure up to get enough force to push it out of it's enclosure. By the time you have enough pressure to do that, it comes out all at once, pretty strong. Think: car wash wand. Luckily, at this point you can back the water pressure back down to a comfortable level and the nozzle will stay exposed. But since the water isn't heated, it still becomes uncomfortable after a short time. I wish the nozzle was a little less concentrated and had a slightly bigger cone of water. My next complaint is that after you install it, the back of the toilet seat will be slightly elevated to give it enough clearance to not crush the bidet. This places a new strain on your seat that it may not be designed to handle. This morning, less than a month after installing the product, my toilet seat broke at the hinge in the back and will have to be replaced. Don't get me wrong. I do like the thing enough that I miss it when I have to use someone else's toilet.
