I relocated to Hong Kong six months ago. My girlfriend gave me this little guide book. It is such an intelligent and useful guide. I carry it everyday now and it is just sooooo...good. I love it and bought all the Asian titles.
Some friends from US were visiting me in Xmas, I bought the China travel boxsets including Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai guides for them, so I didn't need to babysit them all the time. They were so happy.

I have a trip to Hong Kong planned for the end of the year. I got this guide and another one. I'll write a definite review once I test their suggestions, but right now I have two comments:
1. This guide is REALLY small, it's more like a folder.
2. The guide is all written in small caps, which does not contribute to good reading, particularly considering the small typeface. I know that style counts a lot, but function should come first.

We moved to Hong Kong about 8 months ago and a friend of ours recommended the guide. It was such an amazing discovery. LUXE shows you a city from the local perspective. We had been so overwhelmed with trying to find restaurants, bars and places to go, and this guide made it all too easy for us to discover the best of Hong Kong. Since then, we have enjoyed their various other titles in Asia and Europe. The quality of the guides is consistent in all the cities they offer. You get local insight and priceless recommendations in all LUXE guides. They are also reasonably priced for the quality of the information.

I bought a few Luxe guides on my big Asia trip and they were completely indispensable to me. I love great restaurants and boutiques! The big sightseeing places are early to learn about but it's the little gems that are hard to discover. Luxe serves them right up to you- and oh so fun too!

It is a very small book. tiny. The information is not that useful to me. I decide to return it.
