Excellent guide - short and sweet (and not to mention sharp!) - everything else I saw at the store were heavy bricky things that I had no intention of carrying around. It's so small and yet had way more than enough info for my 5 day visit. I'd used their Hong Kong and Ho Chi Minh guides after a friend recommended them, and was so glad when I found out from their website that they'd started doing guides for the US!

New York is full of restaurants, hotels and million of attractions. If you want to know where the best and most memorable spots are, buy this guide. It's also perfect for people who have already been to NYC many times (already done the touristy thing), and now want a unique and highly curated experience. Note: the guide is small, and is not the traditional travel guide (there are no photos or maps or historic insight).

You will not waste your time reading long reviews. The information is to the point and reviews/suggestions are very short and concise. There is only very current, honest and opinionated info on the best of the best a city has to offer.

Every time I travel to New York City, I'm both overwhelmed and overjoyed. Overwhelmed because there is so much to see and do, from spending time with friends and relatives to checking out a bunch of places I want to explore. Overjoyed because, well, I want to hang out with my friends and make the most of my time in Manhattan. With LUXE New York, I have an excellent resource at my disposal: a tool with the information I want, as opposed to touristy nonsense that leads you to the same places - sorry but Times Square is not "New York" - and the same restaurants. No, I want a travel bible written by people who have opinions - major praise for my fellow opinionated travelers! - who understand this fundamental rule: commentary about a city's hidden gems, those locales you may not know about it (but definitely want to visit), the inside scoop of the very best of Manhattan -- that intelligence is gold, and worth every ounce. When I return to New York City, hopefully in the next few months, LUXE New York will be at my side.
