Air are often considered the masters of their art and their are few albums you can point to as consistent and calm-inducing as Moon Safari. Within albums though, there are always good and bad bits and, though the bad bits are practically non-existent for Air, this track embarrasses the rest of the album by its sheer brilliance.

Starting slowly (and barely noticeably) with the sound of rainfall, slowly a rounded, smooth baseline comes in, occasionally accompanied by the sharper sounds of an electronic keyboard.

The track proceeds then fades after about 6-7 minutes, before the best bit of the track - the slow-building piano. Like Rachmaninov : Piano Concerto No.2, this sudden introduction of a different style of piano evokes wondrous feelings of peace and delight that just are not replicated in any other song.

One day you may get tired of hearing this song (after 141,231 listens!) but, until then, this will be one of the delights of your entire musical career.
If you don't believe me buy either this or the album & see for yourself...

The track has an melodic flare and in my world has stood up through the test of time. When I first heard this track mix with other new tracks on the radio, I was sure it was brand new. I only wish the very beginning of the song didn't start out with a twenty second void or better yet,a long fade in.

Just a fantastic song from an arguably brilliant record. Amazing cool, downtempo groove throughout the entire track.

I use it to jog. It has a good tempo and bass line. It keeps me going to the end.

Buy the song by itself. The rest of Moon Safari is not at all the same sort of thing. Wish they had more tunes similar to La Femme D'Argent.
