4.0 out of 5 stars Didn't rip
3 Washes later and no rip... It's quite thin, but still holding up.

I have the 6 piece "La Petite Bebe" bedding set. Luckily I waited to see how I like the sheet that came with it before I bought extras. Now that I have used the sheet a few times I am definitely NOT going to buy more. The one good thing about it is that it has elastic all the way around instead of just on the two ends, which makes it easy to fit over the mattress. The drawback is the sheet shrinks in the wash. I followed the care instructions, used cold water and the gentle cycle but the sheet barely fits over the mattress now. I can't stand struggling just to put on a clean sheet. Another problem with it is that the material is very flimsy. Even when it was fresh and new and fit over the mattress easily it tore on the side as I was putting it on. The same thing happened the second time I used it. I have no idea why the price is so high because the quality is pitiful. It's not even that cute. When I took it out of the package I thought I was looking at the wrong side because the print is so pale. It in no way compares to the rest of the vibrant, well-crafted "La Petite Bebe" bedding set. Don't waste your money on this overpriced sheet. It's more than twice the cost of other sheets which are much better. I recommend Carter's sheets. They're soft, they don't shrink and they come in colors that match this bedding set perfectly.

2.0 out of 5 stars cute but it tears, February 12, 2004

Like the other reviewers, my sheet tore the first time I put it on my daughter's crib. However, I really like the flower design, so I am going to keep it. It looks great in her nursery.

1.0 out of 5 stars new mom, January 5, 2004

I bought the 6 piece crib set, which includes this sheet. I washed it before putting it on the mattress (as recommended) and it shrunk and then tore when I tried to get it on the mattress. I took the whole set back and now I'm looking for a higher quality alternative. I was very disappointed, especially considering the price of the set.
