El centro de este libro radica en la explicación de la filosofía política organizada alrededor del Estado popular revolucionario como máxima instancia de la vida pública en un país sometido a profundas desigualdades y lamentables injusticias. Por lo demás, el lector encontrará en las páginas de este libro un relato satisfactorio de los hechos que caracterizan a las fuerzas populares más notables del proceso revolucionario en México entre 1913 y 1918: el villismo y el zapatismo.
