We purchased this unit to create reviewer copies of our documentaries before the DVD's come back from the replicator.We just burned a program with 3hrs 31 min. of material on a double layer 9gb DVD in ten minutes. That's about 7.2gb copied in ten minutes. The first disc took about 15 minutes but then the times improved. It is dead simple to operate. Master in the top, dub in the bottom, push one button and wait for the beep to sound and the tray to pop out. We've always been partial to La Cie, just for a lower failure rate than other brands we've used. Does exactly what they say it will at a decent price. Very clear readout with data completed, percentage and accurate time remaining. Very heavy for its size, feels hefty and we hope it runs quietly in the corner forever. Highly recommended.
