This LaCie hard drive(300763) has worked flawlessly so far. It is fast and I have not had any problems reading/writing large files (over 5GB). I have tried it on several Windows based desktop computers using the USB and the FireWire connections and I have never had to use the additional USB power cable. I still have not tried it on a Mac, but I'll update this when I do. By the way, while I was shopping around for a drive, LaCie drives came VERY highly recommeded by a couple of Apple reps. I don't know if that means anything... Does Apple have some type of affiliation with LaCie? If anybody knows let me know. |
