Better than the SuperDrive,

I've been a fan of LaCie since 1993 when I bought a huge (!) 160MB external hard drive for a Mac LC. Since my new iBook didn't have a SuperDrive I figured I'd buy this one.
The SuperDrive on my iMac does not handle DVD+R media, and I had to return a spindle of DVDs once because of that. I also like the fact that the drive is portable and I can take it from machine to machine. Toast is the best program, and this burner gives it to you when you get it. LaCie products have often included freebies such as hard drive utilities, but this one is the best yet. On the back is another FireWire port, allowing you to chain something to this. Since my iBook has only one FireWire port this is very valuable to me, especially because I use a camcorder quite frequently. Also worth noting is the design of the enclosure. It looks awesome! |
