4.0 out of 5 stars Good - but too big, August 27, 2009

If you like this idea, then check out the other key by Lacie. It is a smaller design and works more as an actual key for the key ring. This one is just too big. The triangular part is really a pain ....

For me, I am a guy, it is just too big for keys in the pocket. I gave it to my wife, who likes it - but that is because her keys are stored in her purse ...

3.0 out of 5 stars It's HUGE, July 6, 2010

Okay so overall it's a great product, I've had it for over a year now, and the only problem i've had with it.. well.. it's just over 3 inches long. It's about the size of my car key, but the problem is, if you leave it on a keychain, the leverage on it will over time cause this USB key to have no connection; so to use it I have to pull it off the keychain, and twist and pull and put it at odd angles to get any sort of connection.

The idea is cool. But they could've made it about the size of a typical door key which is 2 inches long. I mean heck the ACTUAL USB part of this thing is 5/8ths of an inch long if that long; why make it so big? I don't know.

So if you're using it around a house or whatever it's great; if you have a keychain and plan on putting it on there.. get something else because this just gives to much leverage and will cause bad connections and will wear out everything over time.

Also I forgot to note; the black/carbon fiber looking thing.. it wears away within a week so.. just a heads up. I got it because I thought it was carbon fiber; it's really just an X pattern. Now it's just straight metal finish.

3.0 out of 5 stars LaCie itsaKey, it looks like a key, June 9, 2010

I carry some important research data all the time, so this flash drive is useful. It is just plug and play! Lightweight. Easily mistakeable with another key!! LaCie specifies it to be shock-proof, so I take it to be that. It is really sturdy and solid, no doubt about. The triangular design is not very cool and looks complicated. When I added it to my key chain, I stood out from the rest reminding that is out of place.

I transfer huge files and every time I do so I notice that the transfer rate is declining. Probably the older it gets the lesser it works.
