Ozone-resistant, abrasion-resistant scent free rubber offers 100% waterproof protection. Our premium rubber compound has a high tensile strength, which means greater tear-resistance and greater durability. 9mm wool-felt midsole with a foam insulated bottom gives insulation from cold ground and cushioning comfort. Developed in 1963, LaCrosse Ankle-Fit design features a narrowed ankle pocket that grips the top of the foot better and locks the heel in place preventing excess rubbing and chafing. Removable EVA footbed adds cushioning for all day comfort. Cam-loc buckle supplies a customized fit and is easily adjustable to accommodate clothing. Air-Grip outsole delivers outstanding all-around traction in mud, snow and other loose terrain. Fiberglass shank. 18" height. 5.3 lbs per pair.

I had been looking for some good tall waterproof boots to use while out in the snow or walking along the pond with the dogs. I got these boots one size bigger so when it's cold out I can use thermal socks comfortably.(btw they are conforatable with thermal socks). I have also used them with just regular white cottton socks and still found the boots to be very comfortable and still felt secure while walking in snnow, even being one size larger. These boots also have straps located on the upper part of the boot. I did not really consider how beneficial these straps are when I bought these boots(my last pair of boots like these did not have straps and i was still very happ with them). The clamp part of the strap works very well and tightens to a comfortable grip on my leg. I have worn these boots out in 16" of snow(the northeast this past week) and have had no problems with the clamps coming undone on the strap. All in all if you're lookiing for a good pair of waterproof boots to wear out snowblowing/shoveling, walking in shallow ponds, rivers etc.then definitely then these will not disapoint.

Have had a couple pairs of these before and really like them. I am a power lineman and wear them when the weather is wet and miserable here in Alaska. Lots of new models out but I like the original boot.
