Very Useful for intermediate and more experienced Techs.,

It's not really a book for new techs unless they have someone on hand to explain the smaller details. Very informative for all kinds of clinical lab testing, sample selecting and preparing. Starts with hematology and goes on through urinalysis, oncology, and more. My DVM is very pleased with our lab personel's newfound knowledge since we purchased this book.

Great Resource,
This review is from: Laboratory Procedures for Veterinary Technicians, 4e (Paperback)
Although this book was originally required for a college course, I would have purchased it on my own had I known the content. This book is wonderfully written, and guides the technician very logically through procedures. The reason 4, and not 5 stars? I would have liked more slide photos; however, the ones provided were excellent.

This book is a great source for experienced technicians. It is however, the WORST book for technicians going to school that are beginning to learn about clinical pathology. The chapters were set up fine but the content was info overload (I know thats the point, but im just beginning to go over this subject). Its great as a resource used with other books. This book confused me a lot since my learning style didn't match how the book was written as well as me not being that educated in the subject to begin with. It was not a good book to use in my Clinical Pathology class. But a great resource though.

I would highly recommend this text to all veterinary technicians, students and current techs. I plan to keep this book as a reference when I work in a practice. The book fills in all the gaps missed in class lectures. There has not been a week, this semester, that I have not read this text.
