About the Author

JT LeRoy is the author of Sarah and The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things, and is Associate Producer for the film adaptation directed by Asia Argento. JT wrote the original script and was Associate Producer of Gus Van Sant’s Elephant, which won the 2003 Palme d'or at the Cannes Film Festival. He is writing the British Film Institute's prestigious Modern Classics series on My Own Private Idaho and collaborativating again with Van Sant.

I think it's a shame to not have this published. I enjoyed Sarah and The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things, and the whole 'hoax' thing didn't really change that for me. What's to hate about it, Good, solid story storytelling and fascinating characters? Come on, people, get over yourselves.
