It washes over you,
This review is from: Labradford (Audio CD)
Some music hits you over the head like a hammer with it's brilliance. Other music takes repeated listens to fully grasp the majesty. This Labradford disc does neither. You put it on, it starts, you become engulfed in the sound, and some short time later, it ends. Startled, you reach over and play it again. Much, much later you realize it's late in the evening and you need to get some sleep. In the morning, you pop this disc back in while making coffee and it starts all over again. I can't point to one particular track or one particular passage that stands out more than the rest. It's of a whole. They could have dispensed with the between song breaks and you wouldn't care. It's like the old days, when LPs were meant to be played from front to back in one sitting. No skipping around, no playing just 1 or 2 of the hits. Buy this, listen to it, and tell others about it. It's your duty. Now go - stop reading and start listening.

My first Labradford-album and the best album in my collection. Windy, barren, monumental, freezing and glowing at the same time. Give it a try.
