It gets better!, March 12, 2008
This review is from: Labrador 100: History of Popular Music (Audio CD)
Large compilation broken into sections based on time of release. The first 2 discs are weak. I say this because they sound contrived as if copying bands like Belle & Sebastian, Sigur Ros, Kings of Convenience etc. Very fluffy and twee. Then dics 3 opens up a whole new world of authentically original songs. Disc 3 is great apart from probably one of the best songs musically and worst lyrically on the compilation. The song is about small breasts. Maybe the guy singing it has a small peenee but that we never find out. I do still have to listen to dics 4 but I am guessing that these guys caught up with the rest of the indie world around the 2003 mark. You keep getting better Labrador!
