Gee...Where to start ?

The Flip-Top design is great, the button is protected from unwanted discharge-Yet-it's easy to find and access the button with your eyes closed.

The 'Fog' spray is perfect, it's not a narrow stream which requires special aim; and it's not a random cloud...As long as you're pointing at the attacker they're getting hit up to 15 feet

Whatever you do; get some 'Suducon' decontamination wipes--Lots of them--Don't worry they're cheap...If you do have a 'Mishap' with this stuff you're gonna be hating life...It's pretty nasty

Know your local laws !!!
Some states limit the amount of spray you can carry on your body or concealed to 2 oz's

-Keep this 1 in your car

-Get the 2oz with the "Firemaster" ring top for any women in your life...The ring allows it to be carried and ready to use even while your hands are full pushing a baby carriage or leaving a store with bags...goes 8-10 feet

-Get the 1 lb canister with the pistol grip for any emergency mayhem that may occur outside your home...It shoots 30 FEET + !!!

My department exclusively uses Fox and supplies all its officers with Fox Lab oc. I have used this on violent drunks, violent males of various sizes and every time this spray has brought the subjects to their knees screaming in pain. In the academy I was sprayed with the Sabre oc and the Fox oc. I was not affected by the Sabre oc, a direct blast to the face did nothing to impair me or prevent me from finishing my task. However, a blast to my face from the Fox oc made me fall to the ground. A direct blast in the face from Fox will invoke temporary blindness, the subject will try to open his/her eyes but they won't be able to, they will have breathing difficulties, they will experience a burning sensation like their face is on fire, severe coughing, uncontrollable mucous will come from there nose and mouth, with effects lasting anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes.

This is an excellent self defense tool. I give these to, and recommend it to all my female relatives and friends and with the flip top design there is a less likelihood of accidentally spraying yourself or going of in your purse. This is a serious non lethal weapon and should be kept away from children.

This is the fog version so be warned, if you use this in a confined space you and others will feel the effects of the spray more than you would with the stream version.

The Stream Pattern goes 17 - 20 feet and Fog Pattern goes 12 - 15 feet.

Many point out that the spray in these cans is very potent. But that's only meaningful to the extent that the system as a whole is reliable and easy to use (it doesn't matter what's in the can if you can't get your finger on the trigger or the spray doesn't come out right). Well, in one real-life test for me so far this product proved reliable, very easy to use, and 100% effective.

I and my young child were approached aggressively by a German Shepherd on a public street.

I was scared, and also I have no experience, training, or practice with pepper spray or any other weapons, nor with conflict scenarios in general. Yet despite these factors, which would make me prone to fumbling, I was able to remove the can from my pocket, get my thumb on the trigger, and aim it, all without substantial delay. That is a humungous credit to the design of the product.

Wind was zero. I sprayed at the dog's face for about two seconds as it was coming at us, beginning when it was 10-15 feet away. Basically the dog ran right into the cloud of spray that hung in the air at the end of the spray range -- I'd say a good 10 feet away.

The cone spray pattern was absolutely perfect for this scenario. It had enough spray distance to prevent the impending attack, whereas a shorter spray distance would only be effective once the attack was already underway -- a critical difference. But the spray pattern also had enough spread to allow for a comfortable margin of error. At about ten feet away, the visible cloud of spray was about 4 times the size of the dog's head. Of course my numbers are rough estimates from a memory under pressure, but nevertheless, the balance between distance and spread was absolutely perfect for me in this scenario.

MY two little dogs are walked daily together. Other owners have "nice friendly" dogs that let run free. Mine do not like other dogs, as many small do not like bigger dogs, just a fact of life. So friendly doggie runs up not restrained, mine are. Friendly dog wants to play with mine, mine are having a fit. I tell owner "get your dogs" a number of times........."but mine is friendly"! Well, if mine bites the big dog, the big "friendly dog" will go into attack mode and potentially injure or kill mine. Five+ warnings later, I told him I would pepper spray his dog. No good. Owner does nothing, I sprayed his dog. Now, owner goes nuts, showing id cards from wallet, he;s going to kill him, calls police 2+ times. While leaving, owner follows, finally gets dogs leash 5 minutes later and trash talks me to my apartment. Cops come, no problem. Big dog owner just won't go away.
Second time in 2 weeks, same exact thing happened prior, but pittie was let out free, harassing a woman w. two Yorkies. I tried to grab a Yorkie, big dog caught me w/ teeth! I sprayed him, He ran away. Dog put into a pen, owner goes right to the pen and lets the dog out again, free. I warned her.
This stuff works to disorient the dog and you seem to have only 5 or 10 minutes before the affects wear off, so just do what you need to an leave. I got the 4 oz, cone spray. Worked great, results great. Fast delivery.
In a nutshell, if dogs are a problem, carry it. I highly suggest the 4 oz, enough for more than 1 dog, or person. These dog owners will learn, and if they get "oversprayed", it's their own fault for not restraining their dogs.
