5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome
I have now purchased 5 of these. Two for me and one each for wife and kids.
I use Creative Audigy 4 for my pc home theater and these headphones are a very good choice. While not noise cancelling, we use them in the gym at the YMCA and have trouble hearing anyone else while woking out and watching the on screen shows.
If you are on a tight budget and looking...

4.0 out of 5 stars Headphone for students in tech lab, September 28, 2010
This review is from: Labtec 980423-0403 Elite 820 Headphone (Electronics)
These headphones are durable and hold up well with much use. I have 2 tech labs and all of the headphones work great with the 350+ students using them constantly all day 5 days a week. They adjust for comfort /size. Their sound quality is very good.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great and economical, May 29, 2010
This review is from: Labtec 980423-0403 Elite 820 Headphone (Electronics)
When considering the cost of these, they are fantastic! The sound quality is well rounded and not tinny. The cushions are comfortable and the unit can be worn for hours without any pain or discomfort. The cord is long enough to sit comfortably away from the stereo, computer, or whatever stationary device you have. If you are using it with a portable device (IE: iPod, mp3 player) the cord is too long, become cumbersome. DO NOT compare these headphones to top-of-the-line AKGs or Seinheissers, because they will not match up. Remember, you also paid considerably less! They do blow away Sonys, JVCs, and Panasonics.

The first set was so good I purchased a second set. Good sound and a long cord. Reasonably comfortable to wear, too.

These are a great buy for the price. Are they audiophile quality, no, no, no. Are they good to hook up to a dvd player for use in the car.....oh-ya. Sound is a little muddy overall. The long cord is what most headphones lack and was a huge selling point to me.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for intense use, but not high quality, August 21, 2009
This review is from: Labtec 980423-0403 Elite 820 Headphone (Electronics)
I use about 40 of these at work, in a "computer lab". After 3 years of use, not one got distroyd. Actually all of them still work.
They come with an extra long wire. Chairs constatly roll over these wires, but everything is fine.
Audio quality is... just not there. At least not for audiofiles or music listening. An EQ can solve the short dynamic range, though.
The over-the-head band is very strong and squeezes quite hard, which can make them unconfortable. I always over expand one to make it less strong.

5.0 out of 5 stars Inexpensive but good, December 29, 2010

I've worn out two of these over a period of time. The only faults I have found is that they are little flimsy in construction. However, with a little extra care, they should last for a while. Now for the positive : While not completely noise cancelling, they do eliminate most outside noise. I use these mainly for the audio on television programs. Often the stereo effect is most remarkable, especially in crowd scenes. Also on some DVD's. What are those kids in "Titanic" doing (1997) why are they running around in my hall ? LOL. The fidelity is quite acceptable. If the volume is turned up on an organ CD, the effect is much the same as a concert on the Lay Family Organ at The Meyerson Symphony Center. And most of all the price is right. My shipment also arrived ahead of the estimated date listed.
