This is a very convenient addon to your desktop or laptop for voice conferencing. I used it with Skype and the clarity is very good. The standalone mic allows for multiple parties to be at the terminal talking to the other party - great for conferencing purposes! The small size means it easy to stuff into the laptop bags.

Excellent value for money! I can't find anything like it in the price range.

I've been using this mic for a couple of years to record round-table conferences, hearing room situations and phone depositions - sometimes from distances of 15-20 feet or more! The only wear and tear I've noticed is that the sticky underside of the mic, which helps keep it in place on a surface, has partly torn off. Not really a problem.
The sound quality is equal to, if not better than, more expensive mics I have, some costing over $A200.
The added bonus with the Labtec 333 is that no battery is required, which means: a) you don't have to remember to turn mic on or off; b) no fretting about replacing batteries or not being sure if they are running low; c) no unwanted feedback into some equipment, sometimes caused by powered mics.
Pricewise, I personally don't think there's a better mic on the market.

This mike is very clear and sensitive. The one drawback you might find is that in situations where it is anywhere near your speakers it will cause some major feedback. Something more directional would be better for video chatting, unless you wear earphones. I'm still looking for the right mike, but this one would be excellent in situations where feedback isn't a problem.

I was a bit skeptical when I came across this Mic, but for the price, I decided "Heck, why not?". I got it in the mail the other day, installed it (comes with a sticky adhesive back preinstalled, no holder or anything, but that's fine by me) and was immediately blown away and pleased with the quality and sensitivity of this Mic. I typically use my Mic for Ventrillo and Team Speak chats, as well as MSN and other various activities. Previously I was using a headset by Plantronics, but I was tired of having something on my head and dealing with the wires, etc. This sits stuck under my flat panel now (I sit about 2.0 feet from it), and I can speak in a natural volume and tone, and it picks everything up with perfect clarity, detail and volume. It picks up a little of my CPU fan, but it's not bad. For the money, this is a GREAT PERFORMER. This Mic performs closer to some in the $30-$50 range, believe it or not.

I bought this mic for my laptop because of its size. It works very well. Sharp, clear sound without much static. No need to look further if you are looking for a mic that's travel size and for ordinary daily use.
Its got adhesive on the bottom and a decent length of cable so you can stick it where you want it. Since it would be a little hard to attach it to my laptop, one option i've come up with is to stick velcro on the bottom of it so that I can easily remove it when I close my laptop. The other option was stick some sort of clip on it so that I can attach it to my shirt when I use it.

The only thing I don't like about it is that the paint they chose to coat the mic in makes it look like cheap plastic...and its not the prettiest silver color I've seen.

I have the older model 303. Sound quality is great! Works well even if you are not right next to it. You can walk around the room and people can still hear you fine. Highly recommended for internet telephone service. Size is great for travel. Has a nice long cord so if you have a long distance from you desktop to computer you can still position it wherever you want. Great value.

This is a great mic as long as you remember that is is an omni directional sound pickup device, so yes, it will pick up sounds from all around - it's supposed to.

The quality of the sound from this mic is amazing. I've taped this little gem to the mic boom on my (much more expensive) headset when I record sound notes. It beats the mic on my headset hands down.

I like it so much I bought a couple of dozen of them for business use.

Here's the upsides and downsides I found with this mic:

UPSIDES:
- Great price: At this price, as long as it works (which it does) it's a good value for folks that use the mic for limited purposes.
- Easiest set up ever: plug it in - and it's ready to go.

- Long connector line: Plenty of mobility to use it where you want.

- Small size: Even though it's probably designed to be attached to one of those bulky old monitors, it's small enough to attach anywhere, even on the edge of flat screens.

DOWNSIDES:
- Inconsistent sound quality: Judging by the other reviews, quality of sound may not be very consistent. For me, it records from about a foot away - but that sounds very muffled and weak. I have put it close to my mouth and then it's pretty clear. This isn't the mic to get if you are using voice recognition software (it doesn't work well for that - get a headset instead), but mine works fine for basic recording.

- Not a USB connector: If you prefer a USB connection, instead of a standard mic plug in this isn't the right choice for you.

BOTTOM LINE: Fine value for those looking for a basic beginner mic, or for those that use their mics primarily for recording and playing back. But, there are probably better choices for those who rely heavily on their mics for quality communications or with voice recognition software.

I have never used a PC mic before, but this one set the bar high! I was sceptical because of the cost (it was super low) but i am glad that i tried it. I would recommend this one in particular to everyone i know! Thanks Amazon!

Nice microphone. It looks nice on my desk. I made some recordings and the quality was great. Good sensitivity too - I accidentally leaved the recording device on and went to another room to talk with my parent, and it recorded it! The sound was small but it was clear. Don't hesitate and BUY it!!!
