If you are just looking for an inexpensive mic for your PC, then this will do. I have had mine for a while now and use it for making phone calls and recordind wav. files. I would not recomend this if you are going to rely on it for communicating a lot or making good recordings. You can't beat it for the price though.

I got mine for $10. It's a very good mic. It looks nice, it's light, it's doesn't fall down, it's adjustable and it stays where you adjust it, and it records good. I recomend this mic to anyone who just wants a simple, cheap microphone for their computer.

Anyone who thinks that it doesn't record good or doesn't work is wrong. It's their fault it doesn't work. Most microphones have the same performance, so cost and other small variables are what counts.

It humors me to find how many people had problems with such a fine piece of equipment. PEOPLE! THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS MIC! If the mic has "bad recording quality" or "doesn't work" blame yourself before you blame the mic, because 9 times out of 10 the user fails, not the equipment. I'm not calling anyone stupid, I just think that you should give it a chance before you incorrectly attemp to use something and in turn throw it away and call it trash. I actually planned on buying a Labtec 303 from Amazon.com with some new Panasonic RPHTX7 headphones that I purchased, however, while digging through some of my mom's old office computer stuff I came across the Labtec 504. I plugged it into my mic jack and set the base BEHIND my monitor, allowing the tip of the mic to sit just under the front logo of my LCD (it works from anywhere not just in front of you). There's probably 2.5 ft between me and the mic and I have had absolutely no problems with it, and it sounds even better than the mic on my HP headset! It picks up a little of my CPU Fans but is expected as I have them turned all the way up and they are also 2 ft from the mic on TOP of my desk. I would pay up to $15 for this mic, because the quality is great for the money, and that's really all that counts (this mic outperforms Ventrilo & Teamspeak, meaning the quality of the sound it picks up is reduced when used over the internet as with all PC microphones). I hope this helps and again I'm not attempting to make fun of anyone I just don't want such an inexpensive and useful product to be thrown away.

I bought this Mic for around $6 including shipping... I have to say after reading other reviews I was kind of hesitant on the quality but the price was right. Testing it out I was PLEASANTLY surprised to hear a returned sound of relatively good quality with little/no background noise (and I have an A/C unit cranked up to high running) and good pickup of tone and quality of voice. Definately worth my time and money!

I could not get this microphone to work on my computer. The sound came out of the speakers but no sound recording utility would recognize the fact that the microphone was there. Tech support would do nothing for me and I found myself with a usless microphone.

This is a great microphone! My second best Christmas gift! Cheap price, and works very good. Competible with my Windows XP!

Works pretty decent. There is no on/off button like a Logitech device, but just follow the instructions included in the package and the deice is ready to go! I use this device to do voice over for animations and it works just fine for me. For the price, not bad at all!

Inexpensive mike with decent pickup range. The lightweight base is actually quite stable, but I haven't used the sticky monitor mount.
I got tired of putting on a headset with a boom mike every time I wanted to chat on the pc. I tried a cheap mike I had lying around, but it had to be held 3-4" from my mouth to be of any use.
So I bought this one, which now sits out of the way to the left of my monitor; and my brother says it's a tremendous improvement. He can hear me very well when I'm 2-4' away from it, and says the volume only starts to drop when I get about 5-6 feet away. I do a lot of pc chatting and this mike fills the bill very well.

I haven't used this mic to make phone calls yet, but it definitely works. My system picks up the audio very well, thank you, and plays it louder, the higher I amplify my sound. All I need now is a PC calling program, and I'll be phoning my friends over the internet. With the price of land lines and mobile phones, the sooner I figure this out, the better.

This microphone is pretty good, and if your budget is tight, i would suggest it. It does record to an extent on MusicMatch Jukebox or however it is spelled, and i think it would on any other application that can record sounds. The recordings are not the best, but it does in fact work.
