Great Guide,
This review is from: Labyrinth Canyon River Guide: Green River, Utah, 2005 Edition (Paperback)
This guide was more inclusive than I thought it would be. If your write-up on it had mentioned a river map I wouldn't have needed to order a separate map book. I'm headed down the river in a week and am pleased to say that I believe this guide gave me all the information that I required.

While canoeing down the Green River for a week, we used this waterproof river guide, and it was absolutely indispensable. As important as fresh water in the desert. Don't kayak or canoe the Green River without it.

We did Crystal Geyser to Mineral Bottoms summer of 08 and used this book. Awesome, very accurate and had good "things to see" comments. We are doing the trip again (taking 4 days instead of 2) so we will have more time to explore. Only wish it was waterproof.Great guide for first timer's.

Useful, but not the best.,

Printed in black and white with grainy pictures, this book has lots of information but falls short on information. I purchased this book along with Benknaps Guide to the rivers in Canyonlands in preparation for a trip from Green River,Utah to Mineral Bottom takeout. After the first day, this book stayed at the bottom of my pack, and the Belnap's guide was in constant use.

this is easily the worst river guide i've ever seen... it makes no mention of a number of attractions, describes camps the author has never stopped to visit in person, choosing instead to evaluate these camps via google earth (?) Furthermore, the author has 3 (yup, only 3 trips) through the canyon... Kelsey's canyonlands book is referred to several times in the text and would likely make a much better companion... don't buy this trash...
