I have been a big fan of Labyrinth since I was young, and came across this a couple of months ago. Of course I had to instantly pre-order it. It arrived today, stinking of vinyl, but not to worry. So much detail is included in this piece, although I seem to be missing the little goblin figure that is supposed to be included. But I did get the spare hand (?) and the tiny crystal ball. His codpiece is also crafted perfectly (hahaha) although his cloak does get a bit crushed in the box.
I really hope the rest get released soon, especially Sarah. Surely, they can't just release him?!

A pretty good figurine of an awesome dude, February 23, 2008

Everything is vinyl or some kind of smelly plastic, and I don't know if everyone else's is this way, but my Jareth's left arm won't lower, just bend back and forth, so he can't do the stance the image shows, he just kinda has to put his fist up in an odd pose or punch straight forward, which is odd. Also he doesn't come with a goblin (as some sites list him with), but with a tiny crystal ball and an extra exchangeable hand to hold it with.
As for his looks, the clothes are totally cool and accurate-looking, and his face isn't too bad either. Not a spitting image, but not completely off like some other figures I've bought. If you're a Bowie/Labyrinth nut, then this is a buy.

A little dissapointing, September 5, 2007

I've hoped for a Labyrinth action figure series for a long time. This was so close to being as good as it needed to be, but falls a little short, in my opinion.
Firstly, original press releases promised a little goblin to come with him, for Jareth to lord over. No such luck. What does he come with? an interchangeable right hand. Why? I don't know, it just makes it from one hand that almost could hold the crystal ball he comes with to a fist, matching the left hand. I had difficulty switching the hands too, his elbow joint likes to pop out as well, at least it popsback in just as easily.
His paint job is a little heavy handed in my opinion, none of the subtle grace that Bowie brought to the role. And the hair looks all sorts of silly. I actually think the figure looks older than Bowie looks even now. He isn't very much of an 'action' figure. His legs don't bend, and all the parts of him that are articulated are blocked by his HUGE cape. While it does look cool, I think I would have liked it to be detachable, like Boromir's of the LotR action figures.
The sculpt isn't bad for the face, and his costume. If I were a customizer I'd be half tempted to redo his face.
The packing is very lovely, at least. Hopefully if the company makes more figures they take whatever criticizim fans have into account and compensate.
