My wife bought these by accident instead of the caplets. Lactaid, as a product, has helped me in a lot of situations. Like most things, there have been some exceptions - I expect that.

I found that these chewables do not work as good as the caplets, in my case. However, my biggest complaint is that I cannot stand the flavor and consistency. I don't want an additional flavor added to whatever it is I am about to eat.

I will stick to the pills.

I've used Lactaid for years, and as the years pass, the product keeps getting better and better. I used to have to take more of it for it to work, now I use one tablet just before eating the serving of dairy, and one tablet in the middle of eating the serving of dairy. It works great! One thing to be careful about though, is if you are as slow eater, you'll have to take more of it. When I eat a bagel with cream cheese for example, which takes more chewing than does ice cream which takes none, I end up using three tablets instead of two to be symptom free (e.g., one at the beginning, then I eat 1/3 bagel/cream cheese, take another, eat another 1/3, then take last pill for last 1/3 of bagel). Another great tip which I discovered.....when I began taking calcium supplements along with the Lactaid, it made my own symptoms disappear completely, so you might give that a try. My doctor says its probably because calcium supplements slow movement of the digestive tract. All in all, Lactaid Fast Act is a great product for lactose intolerant individuals and I highly recommend it.

I have become lactose intolerant for several years. I always avoid ice cream though I love it.. until I heard about Lactaid from a coworker.

In my wallet I put one of these chewable tablets. Now before I eat ice cream I pop the Lactaid, which gives me 30 minutes to enjoy the ice cream. Nice.

I have a hard time swallowing pills, so chewable tablet is perfect for me. I highly recommend this for anyone.

I have a son that is three months old. Since he was 1 month old he was diagnosed as having lactose intolerance and because we wanted to give him exclusively brest milk, we asked a specialist if we could give the baby lactaid and he approved. First we used the Ultra (nor chewable) but the baby didn't like the taste. Then we tried the chewables and he loves them (you have to crush them first). He's digestion is a lot better (almost no gas) and he now can rest after his meals.

We have also tried other cheeper products and they also work fine (LACTOSID - drops 1/4 of the lactaid price -easier to give to a baby too, walgreens lactose supplement cheeper than lactaid but also you have to crush the pils.

These Lactaid fast act tablets are better than the other that I've tried, and they taste better too.

I love love love these tablets. Sometimes they even work after I start feeling icky after eating dairy.

I know a lot of people who this product works great for. Unfortunately, I am not one of them. In fact, every time I took these pills I ended up having a worse reaction than I would have had from consuming milk products alone. My symptoms were flu-like: nausea, vomiting, and headaches. I think it must be the Mannitol or some other filler that makes me so sick. I hope that no one else has such a bad reaction, but luckily I have found another lactase supplement that contains no fillers and works really well for me.

My mom has Type 2 diabetics. She began to start throwing up. The doctor confirmed that it was what we thought. She was lactoss intolerant. We greatly reduced the milk products she takes (i.e., milk, cheese, etc.) and had her take one of these pills before each meal. It worked wonders! And the cost when you subcribe to delivery! CVS charged me about $8.82 for just 32 pills. Now I can get 60 for $12.12 (I think that was the new price since they just went up slightly.) Well worth it folks. Highly recommend. And my mom's sugar as dropped so much her diabetic medicine has been reduced! I never knew that milk had natural sugar in it.

The lactaid product is wonderful for anyone that is lactose intolerant. The lactase supplement helps greatly. But go with the tablets. I bought a box of the chewables, and they are terrible. I take them now just because I paid for a box and want to get my money's worth. And once I finish this box, I will always go with the tabs. Granted, ther are more convenient in a place without water... but at the same time, when would you be eating without any liquid to take it down with? Stick to the tabs, you'll be happier.

I am lightly lactose, and these little pills do the trick anytime I have ice cream or dairy intensive products. Would highly recommend to anyone who is lactose.
