5.0 out of 5 stars All about second chances
While Lacy and Cole are the primary characters in this book, there are two other couples highlighted as well: Cole's sister and younger brother. The book is all about second chances and learning from your mistakes. I've read just about all of Palmer's books and she likes her men to be big in stature, masculine--not pretty boys and many times not handsome by 'normal'...

2.0 out of 5 stars skimmed through it
I started reading this book, but when I realized there were so many character lines it just got boring. Even though the book is titled Lacy she is just one of several female leads and I dont like that. I bought this book because I have read Noelle by Palmer and enjoyed that because of the focus on the male and female leads, it was also a simple story line. Skip Lacy.

While Lacy and Cole are the primary characters in this book, there are two other couples highlighted as well: Cole's sister and younger brother. The book is all about second chances and learning from your mistakes. I've read just about all of Palmer's books and she likes her men to be big in stature, masculine--not pretty boys and many times not handsome by 'normal' standards. The women are a little too forgiving for my tastes but she always pulls off a great read in the end.

The introducing of so many characters in the beginning is a little roughly written and difficult to follow but it quickly all comes together and you become deeply involved in all the characters dilemmas. I highly recommend this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lacy, December 12, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Lacy (Paperback)
This book was great. For being an avid a Mystery/Suspense reader who does not like Romance novels, I could not put this book down. There are family tragedies, love lost and found and best of all hot romance scenes. The romance scenes were sensual and exciting and the comedy in the book was just enough to give it that extra edge.

If your like me a person who thinks that romance novels are tiresome, you will be pleasantly surprised. This is an all around great book.

This is the first Diana Palmer book I have read and I'm really glad I read it. This book will not disappoint you. The secondary characters are just as important as Cole & Lacy. Pick this book up, it will please you!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Diana Palmer Must Read, February 3, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Lacy (Mass Market Paperback)
I read this book several months ago and ordered another copy from Amazon.com. The characters are believable and the struggles they experience are very

poignantly described. Palmer captivates and has won my attention time and again by the way she depicts the settings, characters and their problems that

are solved in many surprising ways.

4.0 out of 5 stars Diana Palmer Newbie, June 4, 2011
This review is from: Lacy (Mass Market Paperback)
I just started reading books by Diana Palmer and got immediatly sucked in! She has a wonderful talent for writing passionate and heartfelt story lines. Lacy was no exception! Kept me rivited until the end! I lovedc that it was one of her longer stories because I hate it when her books end! I think Ms. Palmer has spoiled me for other romance authors! Would love to find another author who is as passionate and could rivit me as she does. I thoroughly enjoy her books (I have read several by now and LOVED "Evan!"), but they do follow similar storylines. Any suggestions?!

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE this story!, October 21, 2009
This review is from: Lacy (Paperback)
I absolutely loved this story! It is a typical Diana Palmer story, with the angry male character that loosens up after a woman's loving! However, I truly love her writing and love the "angry" male characters. The setting in this story takes place after World War I. I am a huge history buff, so that fact made it much more interesting! There are three different love stories going on all within this book, but they are all interrelated. Here's what I have to say: If you like Diana Palmer's other stories you WILL enjoy this one as well. If you have never read Diana Palmer before START with this one because it is exceptional. If you are looking for a great read that won't take but a few days to read: pick this book up! Enjoy!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Lacy, October 29, 2007
This review is from: Lacy (Paperback)
When Lacy Jarrett and Coleman Whitehall are forced to marry, Lacy

tries desperately to make their marriage work. She loves Cole with all

her heart, but Cole won't even try. When Cole goes off to war and

comes back a changed man, his indifference towards Lacy causes her to

leave. Eight months later, Cole goes to bring his wife back. There

are more hardships ahead for them and Cole has a secret that he's sure

will drive Lacy away forever.

Cole's brother and sister, Ben and Katy, have problems as well. Faye

Cameron is in love with Ben but Ben's looking for sophistication and

opportunity. Faye is just a girl he's known all of his life; she can't

offer him anything, except her heart.

Katy has been in love with Cole's friend, Turk Sheridan, since he came

to work at their ranch, but Cole warned Turk away from his sister.

Turk has demons of his own as well, so he pushes poor Katy away.

Pride can blind a man and prevent him from accepting the love that is

right in front of him.

Drama and passion fill the pages of Lacy. Cole, Turk, and Ben are

prideful and stubborn men but their women's devotion for them never

sways. Lacy gives new meaning to the words "angst-filled". There were

times when I thought I just couldn't bear it anymore, but it's such

and an engrossing and well written story that I just couldn't put

down! Lacy is a saga loaded with heartache, grief and longing as well

as love, lust and reconciliation. Lacy has realism and heart with an

ending that is emotional and heartwarming. Lacy stayed in my mind long

after I finished reading it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Loved it, August 8, 2007
This review is from: Lacy (Paperback)
Yes there were 3 main couples in this book, but it was definitly worth the money and the time. I couldn't put it down, I've read alot of Diana Palmers books and none so far have let me down. She captures my heart in every book and I feel for every character. The only part I didn't like was the very last page, which told there futures..you have to read it and check it out. It's a great book!
