Once again, I recommend buying this product on Target's web site simply for the ease of returning it if your not happy with it.

Upon arrival the hardware for the basket was loose in the box, and the bike had several scratches on the frame.

I have invested quite a bit of money in bikes. I wasn't afraid when I dropped $500 on my first Specialized Rockhopper... and my best bud has a Cannondale with over $500 in upgraded components. I know a bit about bikes. . .

This bike is worth every penny. A basic Huffy is going to cost $150 anyway, then add the rack in the back, the cup holder, the basket, and the surprisingly high quality tires and you have more money in parts than the bike sells for!

It has a great cruiser/vintage look when you see it too! I have this review on the men's version of the bicycle too, since I got the men's one for me!

IT IS A SHAME THAT THIS BIKE'S RATING IS DOWN B/C PEOPLE DON'T KNOW THAT RASPBERRY IS NOT RED, AND OBVIOUSLY CAN'T SEE THE PHOTO, B/C THE BIKE IS THE EXACT COLOR OF THE PHOTO! PLEASE DO NOT LET THE STAR RATING STOP YOU FROM GETTING THIS AWESOME BIKE!

As far as poor instructions . . . again, I know a little about bikes, so it was just common sense to me how it went together!

This bike is excellent at being what it is: a cute, stylish cruising bike for flat neighborhoods or beaches. It is NOT lightweight, and it does NOT go very fast. You will need to be pretty strong to lift this bike up stairs. You will feel the burn going up any kind of incline. And you'll really need to pump the pedals to go fast.

That being said, I love this bike to ride around my relatively flat neighborhood. The seat is totally cushy, and the handlebars are wide. The basket is big enough to hold a small purse and my bike lock (not much else). The cup holder is a nice touch. And the back tray is retractable, so you can elongate it for larger parcels.

My only wish is that it could be a bit lighter for lifting purposes. Or I just need to buff up.

I first set eyes on this bike thinking that it was going to be like a dark red, burgandy color. However, after doing research I knew that it was going to be a purple color. I still bought it. I did not buy it on Amazon because I found the same bike for sale at Target.com. If you are not sure about this bike but want to try it out, I recommend buying it online at Target because if you dont like it, you can always return it. When the bicycle arrived, it was able to assemble it (by myself in 2 days). I had a bit of difficulty with the seat and in the end it squeaks a bit. I'm still satisfied with my purchase. The basket is a bit small however, and the cup holder is "cute". Im glad I purchased it.
Once again, I recommend buying this product on Target's web site simply for the ease of returning it if your not happy with it.

I read all the reviews before buying it, so I opened the box carefuly, everything was there, thank God! I have never before put a bike together, but I am pretty handy with tools, but the instructions were so generalized and the print was so small. The instructions were not specific for this bike so I just had to put it together using common sense. I gotta say Ikea instructions make more sense. I kindda was expecting to come apart once I tried but it didn't. The color... It is most definetely NOT RED! I am ok with purple though,at least is not pink. Some of the parts feel cheap and weak, but hey, it's a $100 bike. So far I am happy with the product.

The bike is purple, yes indeed. I actually love the color.
Assembly was slightly tricky because I didn't realize I would need so many tools. You really need a wrench set to get it all together, properly tightened, etc. I only had one adjustable wrench and that was my problem.
Someone complained that the bicycle does not have brakes - it does. They are foot pedal brakes and work when you essentially pedal backwards. No big deal.
The bike came packaged really well and the basket was fully intact, no problem there.
I read that people have problems with the fenders rubbing- I found that you could adjust them up slightly and then tighten the bolts and they were fine. (took two of us to do)
Yes, the bike is heavy and slow - but that is the nature of a cruiser.
Again, this is a GREAT bike for the price ...

It IS Purple, not the color in the photo, but that's okay since it is for my 12 year old daughter. You get what you pay for an it IS a 125.00 bike NOT a 900.00 item like my son owns.

It's fairly cheaply made and maybe a bit heavy for a kid but most adult should be able to handle it just fine. The seat does move around just a bit even though it has been tightened down as far as I can get it.

This took me less than an hour to put together and I'm a not super mechanically enclined female. most of the assembly was done in the factory. All you really have to do it put the front tire and fender on, and attach the handle bars, seat post and install the seat.

All in all it's a good little starter bike that I don't expect to get years out of but you get what you pay for. A purple, inexpensive cruiser. Everybody who is rating it down for the color should have heeded the reviews I guess! The should change the photo in my opinion, but whatever.

This bike arrived missing some small parts (nuts and bolts) and the instructions for assembly are terrible. I was only able to get it halfway assembled before seeking professional assistance. We were able to get it together but the tires were under inflated and uneven. Additionally the aluminum on it is bent and cheap, it really does not seem well made. However, it does function decently once put together and is a good price. So if you are willing to deal with the hassle of putting together a poorly made bike go for it but I would suggest purchasing an already assembled bike at a local shop. Also, as others have mentioned the basket is quite small.
