About the Author

Dr. Gina Loudon hosts the Nationally Syndicated Dr. Gina Show. A national speaker, writer and commentator on local and national outlets, she is a political analyst who appears regularly on FOX News, FOX Business, and other national and international outlets. Dr. Loudon has a regular column at Townhall. com, and also contributes to FoxNews.com, Breitbart’s BIG outlets, and World Net Daily. Credited as one of the 100 founding members of the Tea Party movement, she originated both the BUYcott concept and the field of Policology--the nexus of politics and psychology.
Bill Federer calls her “The conservatives’ secret weapon—a double-edged sword. She is adorably disarming, and masterfully brilliant— A rising star in America’s renewal.” Neil Cavuto calls her the “Tea Party Titan,” Andrew Breitbart called her the “official troublemaker” [for liberals], and Mark Steyn calls her “The Gold Standard” of talk radio.

Dr. Paterno is a fully licensed clinical psychologist, serving as owner and Clinical Director for Park Ridge Psychological Services, a private group practice in his hometown just outside of Chicago. His twenty years of experience in the mental health field includes work in inpatient psychiatric hospitals, therapeutic day schools, residential treatment centers, two private practices, and a position as Adjunct Professor of Psychology. The author of the well-received parenting book, Desperately Seeking Parents, he is on the Board of Directors of the International Society for Ethical Psychiatry and Psychology, a think tank and advocacy group of mental health professionals committed to holistic and humane treatment of emotional disorders.

Dr. Paterno's style in this book reflects the same effective, direct and intuitive approach he uses in therapy.

For over 100 years, the radical left has sought to destroy and remake Western governments by destroying Western culture and society. Their most effective tool in this effort has been the destruction of the family as the basic unit of structure of our civilization, attempting to replace it with government as the surrogate parent.

This would not be possible had they not first laid the groundwork by destroying the individual's sense of self. So twisted is this ideology, and so effective its dissemination, that we find ourselves now the subject of sneering condescension if we dare to attempt to fulfill our traditional roles as Fathers, Mothers, Sons, Daughters, etc.

At last, a work that begins to lay out a path for returning to the social norms that held Western Civilization together for 1000 years - a celebration of the kindness and civility men and women should rightly show each other, and the mutual respect that leads to happy, productive families.

I would expect nothing less from Dr. Gina Loudon, who regularly stands fearlessly at the front of the culture war. Superb book that begins the process of returning from the dark side that has left our families, cities, States, and Nation broken.

I was lucky enough to get an advance copy of the book... It was surprisingly an easy read. I am glad that the co-authors, trained in psychology, made this readable for folks like me who aren't academic types. It gave me hope that we can win in November and beyond. The authors pull no punches. There are hard hitting parts of this book that had me doing fist pumps in my living room as I was reading! Also, I love the assessments in the book that helped lead me to find what I could do, and where I could be most effective to help save the republic!

As a non-fiction junkie, I am getting tired of the same thing over and over... This book is unique. I have never seen or read a book like this one. And I love it. A great work by two great patriots!

I highly recommend the latest work from Dr. Gina Loudon. She has taken the time to research history and explain how America can avoid the mistakes of the past! A good read whether you are into history, politics or current events and Dr. Gina puts complicated issues into easy to understand terms! This would make a great gift for anyone who is having to suffer through a liberal minded history or civics professor and would need to know the truth.

In this day and age, we see unbecoming behavior by men and women portrayed on TV shows, in the movies, in novels, music videos, facebook, and many other places. We have lost touch in how to be respectable adults and don't have honor as a country anymore. Finally, this book discusses how to get back to displaying honor as individuals and as a country. This book is a must read!

Finally, a book that addresses the ideals of ladyhood and gentlemanly behavior! I didn't know where these terms came from until now-that was very interesting to learn. And I love how Dr. Paterno and Dr. Loudon connect the cultural influences of atheism, liberalism, and radical feminism to our current social ills. I love this book; it's funny, interesting, and challenging!

"Ladies and Gentlemen" is an outstanding, intelligent and thoughtful "finger on the pulse of a twisted society" ---and how we got here----from a kind, decent and common sense perspective which 'I like to think' still describes the majority of Americans...

Do yourself a favor...read "Ladies and Gentlemen"----and you can thank me later.

More About the Author

Dr. Paterno is the co-author of Ladies and Gentlemen: Why the Survival of our Republic Depends on the Revival of Honor. He is also the founder, owner, and Clinical Director of Park Ridge Psychological Services, a private practice just outside Chicago that serves children, adolescents, and their families.

Dr. Paterno honed his expertise with children and adolescents for over 20 years in psychiatric hospitals, therapeutic day schools, residential treatment centers, and private practices.

His unique perspective with children and their families rests on a parent-first philosophy. He believes that parents best serve their children by establishing and maintaining an appropriate hierarchy and by holding all children to very high standards or behavior. He rejects the popular notion that children cannot behave properly due to supposed mental illnesses like ADHD or Bipolar Disorder.

Dr. Paterno addresses his parenting philosophy and specific techniques for how to reclaim the family in his successful parenting book, Desperately Seeking Parents: Why Your Child Needs a Parent in Charge and How to Become One.

He has also written political pieces for biggovernment.com and World News Daily.

Dr. Paterno is blissfully married to a recovering liberal; together, they are raising two young ladies and one budding gentlemen.
