4.0 out of 5 stars kind of cheesy but has a good groove
i heard this at a listening post at fnic in paris. it keeps growing on me, and was a success when i brought it to a dinner party. reminds me sometimes of atari video-game and 80's synth sounds, good dance feeling. can't say what other discs it really reminds me of.

3.0 out of 5 stars Huh?
Half of the songs on this CD are good. Not great, just good. But the other half is really terrible, near amateurish. Feels like someone fiddling with a computer creating whatever sounds & music, nothing more. I really wonder why Taylor Savvy was proclaimed the #1 most influential personality in SHIFT magazine a couple of years ago.

Just picked this record up at an exasperating price (twenty-eight bucks), but I am just terribly pleased with it. Savvy's retro-electronica is fun and infectious and utterly danceable. His lyrics are every bit as self-centred and egotistical as they should be, by turns sleazy and witty (and often both at once).

As far as albums by Canadian ex-pats go, "Ladies & Gentleman" definitely ranks up there with "The Teaches of Peaches" and "Presidential Suite". Check it out.
