5.0 out of 5 stars RIP DINO CONNER
I've been a big fan from day 1!!! And I especially love this cd because it sends a messege. That all women are beautiful regardless of their race. And it made a big change in my life as well.

2.0 out of 5 stars Let's be fair
With all due respect to the H-Town family, we need to be honest about the material on this album.

First, I love H-town ever since I heard them when I was 13 years old.

While "Fever for the Flava" was a great foundation cd, "Beggin After Dark" was simply genius. But Ladies Edition is a far cry from BAD.

H-Town has never been known...

FIRST OFF, I WANT TO SAY TO MY CLASSMATE DINO CONNOR RIP . I CALLED YOU BY YOUR REAL NAME AND NOT DINO. BUT I WILL CALL YOU DINO BECAUSE YOUR FANS KNOW YOU AS DINO. I KNOW THAT YOU ARE WITH GOD NOW SINGING FOR HIM. HE ALWAYS SUNG IN CLASS ALL OF THE TIME THAT IS WHY I AM NOT SURPRISED THAT HE HAD A MUSIC CAREER. I LIKE THIS ALBUM I HAD TO SUPPORT THIS ALBUM BECAUSE ME DINO AND SHAZAAM GO WAY BACK TO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN HOUSTON, TEXAS. 5.0 out of 5 stars H-Town to Release New Album, July 30, 2004

Watch out for Imitations of Life, which will hit the streets, September 21st 2004. It includes songs written by Dino prior to his death. Shazam has now let his mother hear the song that Dino made talking about his own funeral. The healing process continues with the release of this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars H-Town - Ladie's Edition, April 12, 2003
This review is from: Ladies Edition (Audio CD)
H-Town's Ladie's Edition is the first album that I've heard by H-Town. [They dedicated this album to the ladies to say that their sorry for disrespecting & doing them wrong].
Almost all of the songs on the cd are good. I can actually listen to the whole cd, rather than just a few songs.
Of course, some of the songs are better than others, my favorite songs include: Beggars Can't Be Choosy, Ways to Treat a Woman, Don't Hold Back the Rain, Married Man, They Like It Slow, Special Kinda Fool, Natural Woman, Jezebel, Woman's World, Mindtaker, & Visions in My Mind.

This is a mostly r&b album, with a couple of "upbeat" songs, some tight slowjams and one sad, but good song (Julie Rain, which they dedicate to a friend that died). The lyrics are good. I like this album because it's not about & doesn't mention the use of drugs, violence or sex (with the exception of the song, The Like It Slow and a few other songs) unlike almost ALL of the other albums out today feature.

I admit that at first I didn't like this album. I only borrowed it from a friend because I thought that it had the song, "Knocking Da Boots" on it. But then I actually listened to the whole cd and loved it!
Ladies Edition has turned me into a major H-Town fan. The members of H-Town all have smooth wonderful voices.
I was upset when I heard about Dino's death (in January 2003), RIP Dino.

Overall, I highly recommend this cd to everyone!

5.0 out of 5 stars Once Again, H-Town H-Town H-Town, August 5, 2005
This review is from: Ladies Edition (Audio CD)
It's funny how you can be riding along with some people in the car, throw in this cd, and have people, especially women asking this is great who is this? This is one of those cd's, most people don't really know about H-Town with the exception of "Knockin Da Boots." Ladies Edition was not put up so highly on the charts as one of H-Towns best cd's but in my opinion, this cd is platinum rating. With the exception of Toon Girl. I love this cd. From tracks titled "BEggars Can't Be Choosey", to Special Kinda Fool. The CD is through, and can be seen through the eyes of some as a very uplifting cd, with morals behind almost every song. GREAT CD!!!!!!!1
