Great book!
I love this book. The projects are well-illustrated and instructions are well-written. I had no problem making several projects from the book.

The Ladies' Handbook of Fancy and Ornamental Work: Civil War Era
I was very disappointed in this book. I wanted to make the purse on the cover. After getting the book, I had no better idea of how to do it than I did before getting the book. I'm glad I didn't spend the money for the original book. Other items in the book didn't have very good instruction either.
